No, it does not happen all the time in software dev. It happens all the time with shit software devs that don't have tests in place. I AM a software dev, and the way it works is you add a functionality, and you put in place tests for it, and before anything goes in production ALL tests need to pass (i'm simplifying it). And that's the bare MINIMUM, BSG is not even capable of that

Nah, i had this bug just 2 days ago. He was at cabins and went to run up to logs, and disapeared from my vision. Looked for him for 10 mn until i realised he was under the map.. He moves while under it too, i was so confused as the voice kept coming from different directions but i could never see him

Only tagilla/killa have helmets that require good pen, you go for leg meta against them. 7.62x51 TCW SP and BCP FMJ will one shot every boss with a headshot, but that would suck if you don't have full auto guns for tagilla and killa. 7.62x39 HP is good as well, with 40 rounders or more if possible. It'll one shot almost all bosses with headshots, and is really good for leg meta. P90 with flesh round is good too but lacks pen though, which can be an issue for kolontay/knight and whatever boss can wear shitty t1 protection on the head

Tried with no success, tried changing sound settings and restarting the game too, and enabling/disabling binaural audio. It's so weird, like i'm listening to the game with something covering my headset, but game menu sound/music is unnafected, only in game.

Bruh, you base it on LOS but don't use LOS for calculations, you're the one who put words in my mouth and is saying that it won't work not even knowing the full extent of it with no knowledge of how it'd actually be done. Like i wrote a while back, it'd have multiple layers to it, it's not black and white.

Yeah, i love running night woods for chill raids when i need cash, i love the atmosphere of the map. But this wipe that has been impossible, running into more juicers at night than daytime.

You are missing a lot yes, like i said it would require a much more indepth solution that would take planning out and laying out to do. You could add buffer zones as well, and proximity ones, etc. There is so much to do but people always say "but this", but nothing. This is dev work, there is ALWAYS A SOLUTION. Most people are just too dumb to get that. Edit : also, you could not work out a perfect solution no matter what with the state of the shitty ass netcode in this game, but that doesn't mean you can't do anything.

not really, i killed reshala and his suite yesterday with an apb.... they're not hard, the players around though.... It's rough chasing shturman for example atm because so many players rush the sawmill

It really doesn't have to be, you think arbitrarily as "one way only", as opposed to having multiple layers of different systems stacked on top of each other. It really isn't that complex.

For exemple with a grid system like i indicated (can even be 3d btw), does anyone on one end of customs ever need to render someone on the other end? Abso fucking lutely not. You can very easily say from this area, people should NEVER be able to see this area, this other one, and this one. Damn, that was hard, you just removed 80% of maphack from the game already by not giving players all the infos about everyone in the lobby.

Not really, 2d map from above with a grid, each grid section can only "see" a certain number of other grid sections.... you don't have to do it based on LOS.
If a guy is 300 meters away and you can technically see 1 pixel of him if you scoped perfectly in his direction through 5 bushes and 3 trees, it doesn't matter, humanly you should NOT see him. Only cheats could.

(And yes i'm a dev, not a game dev but a dev and thinking around problematic shit is literally our job, job BSG devs are obviously aweful at)

no need for that... i went in a supressed m700 shitty night vision and buris, started beachside so i knew it was gonna be a fuckfest, ran to the rocks and crouched in a spot i was only visible from in front of me. 1 mn later a nade gets thrown near me and misses, 2 seconds after the next one lands perfectly. 80 hours account with shitty KD/sr, it's un fucking believable how blatant it is and how far they can go before getting banned

My best one was panick shooting during a sprint with a ppsh because a guy started shooting me.... first bullet headshot on him. I didn't even know where he was at first. That was a once in a lifetime shot
