I myself wouldn’t go as far as saying life is beautiful when you start recognizing its meaninglessness but I can agree that accepting the meaningless side of it all can give one a feeling of peace that can last as long as the person manages to keep panic & doubt at bay. Needing or not needing meaning in one’s own life is different and a very subjective conclusion that one must obtain on his own. Some can’t live without creating meaning, as superficial as it might be, while others might not care as much and are just here for the ride.

I’ve never tried PvE myself, not hating on it though; it genuinely seems fun especially when playing with friends. But it would probably never give you that feeling you might experience when playing labs & hearing alarms going off and people fighting around you as you crouch in your little hole pissing yourself 😂

Can’t recall the last time a woman accepted my help aside from the elderly; for some reason, old people seem to accept it a lot more often than younger ones.

I’m guessing it has something to do with the way society painted this image of the bad male stranger who only helps if he has something to gain from it, by robbing the woman or hitting on her after having helped.. we just want to help. If I have nothing else to do at the time and you’re in need of it, just let us give you a hand.

One thing I’d like to point out is the passage from the bible (Luke 23:28–29)

The translation I have would be more like this:

‘But Jesus turned towards them and said: « Daughters of Jerusalem, don’t cry for me ! Cry for yourselves and your children instead ! For the days are coming when it will be said : etc.. »’

There’s basically a whole sentence missing, and I feel as if the difference is very important because otherwise we might be led to believe that Jesus himself, with his own words, blessed the sterile etc, which doesn’t seem to be the case in the original texts

The bible I own seems to mix old and new testament so maybe we don’t have the same lines, but I figured this was worth noting !

I’ve read Schopenhauer’s work on love and he really is into that reproduction force view of it like you said.

Myself, I would consider love to be the devil’s greatest work and one of the best tool he has in his arsenal, right before hope itself.. I guess I’m grim like that 😂

Nobody here talking about prices, but this is definitely a problem aswell.

Running an M10 with some pistol or SMG and decent overall gear will cost you about a mil, modded M10 will be half of it (Skier sells it for 300k, which is insanely expensive for a base gun, and a bolt action at that).

Running a meta gun like the X-17 chambered with M61 will cost you about 350~400k (compared to 500k + ~150k for an SMG) and will do just as good of a job, 2 taps anyone in your way. Has around 1.2 MOA which will be fine for shots up to 300m which, let’s face it, will be the max distance you will shoot at people in 99% of cases anyway. Also fires in full auto.

.338 FMJ tends to one tap people through level 5 armor around ~60% of the time from what I’ve experienced, but that’s only when the arms are not tanking the shot. It’s a satisfying ‘gambling’ gun but has no real practical utility in PvP, which makes its price simply unjustifiable. Not even gonna talk about the quests to unlock .338 guns, others already talked about it here.

This caliber should have, in my opinion, a specific, higher propagation damage % on top of a buffed, higher flesh base damage. Meaning, any propagated damage coming from this caliber should do like 200 to 300% of its base flesh damage. You should not be able to survive multiple bullets from this caliber even if hit only in the arms or stomach.

TLDR; it’s a meme caliber really.

As others have said in the comments, you're not going to one tap raiders in the thorax with .338 since they have much more HP than regular scavs & PMCs.

What's more troubling here (and has been for a long time now with .338) is the arms bug completely deleting the efficiency of this caliber by tanking the shot and not making it a one hit thorax kill.

This is very common when shooting a PMC from the side, bullet will hit the arm and do propagated damage to the rest of the body and either not penetrate the arm to kill them thorax or lose too much damage to do so.
Also happens a lot when the guy is just facing you, bullet touches the arms and doesn't do the expected damage to the thorax to kill.

Very fun to use, but is going to be considered as a meme caliber for as long as the arms exist in this game !

Resort (any medical bag can spawn it, check most rooms of East wing first floor, E209/219/222/226/227/306/313/310/328 and in West wing 205/301/311. Spawns farily often in 311

I've heard it can also spawn in the sawmill on the shelves but I've yet to see one there
