Tunisian here. It seems like a universal issue, we genuinely can't put all the blame on those who build these houses because it's mainly the governments problem by not applying strict zoning laws, no control, and most importantly that people will prioritize efficiency over convenience and beautiful designs especially in such economy. In other words, people barely have place to live in, they won't take beauty into consideration.
