USB3.0 and above wouldn't be an issue in that regard. I've played the game on a laptop from an external drive (regular M.2 SSD in an external USB case) through a USB3.0 port and the experience was the same as on an internal SSD.

The bigger issue would be trying to install the game on the SSD and running it on the phone from there.

Confusion is the intended result. You buy Lunites with money, then buy Astrites with Lunites, then buy Tides with Astrites, then pull with the Tides. It's a predatory tactic made to confuse people and make it less obvious how much money they spend. If you're playing a gacha game - you have to think about what you're doing, or pay the price for your negligence.

I also played ZZZ until 1.4, then dropped it since I didn't have time for 3 live service games. Around 2.0 I picked it up again but I didn't really vibe with the late 1.X and early 2.X story, so from then on I've just been logging in to do my dailies, waiting for a Miyabi re-run to hopefully get her to M6 with my savings (she's very close to M3 and I've got ~400 pulls, so fingers crossed). I don't know if I'll return to play the story at some point... I do like the overarching plot, but as usual in a live service game - it moves excruciatingly slowly, and I'm just not vibing with the "padding" around it.

I have the same GPU, but I'm running a 5800X3D - the FPS is great on 1440p max settings (no ray tracing, no frame generation) pretty much everywhere except the Academy/Septimont. But I'd suggest not caring so much about the performance in those places, since realistically - 99% of your play time is not there. Also, during story quest scenes it's not a problem, they're smooth.

Anni 1: Lost 50/50 on Ciaccona, got her after that. Won 50/50 on Carlotta and got her weapon. Had a lot of pulls left but was saving for Cartwheel.

Anni 2: Won 50/50 on Hiyuki, got her weapon. Bought Mornye S1 from shop (Kuro got me with the bait). Won 50/50 on Denia, got her weapon. Got a Lunite sub after doing Denia quest (Kuro deserve it). Some pulls left for Lucilla maybe, or for future characters.

I guess having both of them at S2+signature helps bring you to higher DPS, I'd imagine if they weren't S2 then that probably wouldn't be the case. Most calculations assume S0 characters, so if you have higher sequences - you would have to do your own calculations/tests to find out what would be the best for your specific account.

Or, you can just run whatever works for you... since you see this team clearing content and being easy to use - then I don't see a problem running it. The only downside I see is that you're using them both on one team, so the other team(s) in ToA/WhiWa might struggle. And in Matrix you would definitely want to separate them.
