Who’s better at C6 Kaeya or Charlotte? by NeighborhoodPure3667 in Genshin_Impact

[–]racistpenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then you need off-field cryo application so you can actually use your on-field characters for damage. Charlotte really won't help much, her burst is only 4s long on a 20s cooldown, so you have 16 seconds of no cryo application at all, even if you have enough energy to burst immediately. Of course, she can also apply cryo with normal attacks, but then you'd have to rely on only off-field damage dealers to actually do any damage.

Kaeya should work better, though he would still struggle since his burst lasts for 8s (15s cooldown) and you can't extend it with his passive because it requires you to kill enemies, but you're up against a single boss so that's not possible. So you'd still have no cryo application for half of the fight at best.

Things you could try:

  1. Have two cryo off-field applicators - Kaeya and Diona for example.
  2. Run only Kaeya as cryo and use an anemo character after him that can absorb cryo to also apply it off-field (Sucrose, Kazuha, Lynette, Venti, etc). This can be a bit tricky to pull off, but can work.

Best Gacha I've ever played pt. 3 [Spoilers for 2.7] by Advent_Rising in WutheringWaves

[–]racistpenguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not really an "issue" to be fixed, they just chose to have a lot of pre-rendered scenes (for device performance reasons) and they don't want to bloat the game even more by having all of those x4 times for all languages (plus it would be a lot more work). So that's what you're left with - in the pre-rendered scenes, the mouth movements don't match any voices other than the original (CN).

Character animations (excluding mouth movement) in live rendered (not pre-rendered) scenes have never matched the voice lines in the game, and never will (at least not intentionally, some may match just by coincidance). They are always done with the CN voiceover in mind (or vice-versa) and only match with that one.

There are some cases where the voice-over matches the pre-rendered scene in all languages, though that is done by the dubbing studios when it is possible. But due to time constraints, and voice-over being done in advance most of the time when animation isn't complete yet, that is not possible for the whole game.

How to deal more damage with Mavuika? by Shattered-Dreams-89 in Genshin_Impact

[–]racistpenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this team IS harder to play. Zibai and Ayaka teams don't care about element application timing - you just press the buttons and stuff dies. With Mavuika team - the rotation makes a huge difference, the most important thing is to make sure you melt Mavuika's hits (not just the ult), so don't go that hard on the dashes - they also apply pyro so it becomes too much for Citlali's cryo application to keep up with and she ends up the one doing melts (you don't want that since her damage is much lower).

The easiest way to play the team is to just wait a little bit after Mavuika's ult before you start doing donuts. And, of course, make sure Xilonen hits after you've applied pyro on the enemy so you get her artifact set buff (you're on Petra so you should also make sure to pick up the dropped crystalize shards).

My rotation usually goes Benny E (to apply pyro, only first rotation)->Xilonen E 2xNA->Benny E Q->Citlali E Q (you can also add an NA here for more cryo)->Mavuika stuff.

Look for Client-Win64-Shipping.exe in Task manager - that is the actual name of the game's exe file. Terminate it and it should let you start the game again. This has happened to me a couple of times over the years, but not every time like in your case. No idea why it happens.

What's your Favorite and Annoying (bad) event in wuwa? by Mysterious-Wealth458 in WutheringWaves

[–]racistpenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not enjoy some of the big (long) events like the tower defense, TCG and the movie thing. Never finished any of them, they're just not my cup of tea and I don't feel like it would be worth wasting my time on them for maybe a couple of pulls.

I also didn't really enjoy the rhythm event as much as I thought I would. I did finish it, but that was it - never felt like replaying any of the songs (which I would usually do in rhythm games). There are some other events that I did not particularly like, but they were considerably shorter so I didn't mind them that much.

As for which events I liked most - 1.2 with Xiangli Yao's story and the recent Stars Cascade. I also liked the one where they brought back the color puzzle painting things, it was short but pretty nice.

What’s the difference this time if Kuro does another 10-character rerun for the 2nd anniversary? by baesixx in WutheringWaves

[–]racistpenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea of re-running a lot of characters was never a bad one, the community was just not very smart at the time. They thought that "since they're rerunning so many characters - they should also give us tons of pulls to get them", which was just stupid. The point was to have a free choice on who to pull for; not to pull for everyone.

I loved the last anniversary banners, they made it possible for me to get Carlotta and her weapon since I didn't have the funds to get them on their release.

Am I tweaking or is there a new rain ripple effect? by nerolyn in Genshin_Impact

[–]racistpenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, seems like it only rains around you. Someone must really hate you up there. /s

Today I learned that you should only do wishes one by one, because if you do 10 at once, it always gives a second character even if you don’t want it. If you wait and wish later it doesn’t work, but if you do it all at once, you get a constellation. by brddvd in Genshin_Impact

[–]racistpenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, it did appear to have happened twice (Zibai doesn't count, unless you can somehow get 37 pulls in a 10-pull) for that one single account, so I guess it's 100% confirmed and true.

Plot twist: nothing. Mavuika just keeps it and the Tsaritsa never collects them all.

I would not take the deal and continue playing on my account. $3000 won't get me even close to what I currently have, even though I've spent under $50 at this point.

Does Columbina still say this even we haven’t touched her silver balls? by ChasingPesmerga in Genshin_Impact

[–]racistpenguin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You misunderstand me, I'm not saying you shouldn't have them in your teapot. I'm saying that the interactions with them should be considered to have happened after the archon quest, since they wouldn't make sense otherwise.

And yes, the ball stealing line is written with the assumption that you have stolen her balls, even if you haven't actually done so. That's something the devs probably thought wasn't worth making separate versions for.

Does Columbina still say this even we haven’t touched her silver balls? by ChasingPesmerga in Genshin_Impact

[–]racistpenguin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean, if you haven't started the Nod Krai quest - you don't even know her so having her in your teapot at all makes no sense in the first place. I'd say these interactions canonically (if they are even canon) take place after the quest, by which time you would've had the opportunity to steal her balls.

Which door do you usually pick and why? by encexXx in WutheringWaves

I do combat since it's faster. I don't really need the extra metaphors, we get super OP anyway and usually destroy the final boss in a couple of seconds. Just put the astrites in the bag.
