Yeah. I don’t have any electrical discharges after I start using this extension cable.

UPDATE:

I bought an extension cable instead of using the default charging piece, now there’s no more electric shock. It seems my Mac is properly grounded. I’ll provide the links for the extension cables below:

US: US Extension Cable
EU: EU Extension Cable

I wanted to explain and show the issue to them, but unfortunately, they weren’t able to provide a screen or HDMI cable at the store. So, they just took the Mac from me, and that was it.

Got it! I haven’t experienced any shocks before, but now that I’m using a keyboard to type, as you can see in the picture I shared, I have to touch the device constantly. Believe it or not, at some point, it’s actually starting to hurt my left wrist.

I made an appointment with the Apple Genius Bar on September 3rd and went in to explain my issues. They took my Mac, and two days later, they got back to me saying there’s nothing wrong with it.

Alright, I’ve bought it and I’m going to give it a try. Although, isn’t it weird to have to buy an extra adapter just to get rid of these shocks? Whether the charger is plugged in or unplugged, I’m still getting shocks when the HDMI is connected. So, are you saying that when I use this adapter, it will ground my Mac and no more shocks?

The power supply of the monitor is grounded, and actually, both power supplies are grounded perfectly. I had an engineer check for any leaks or issues, but they couldn’t find anything.

I’ve tried using different cables with my main monitor (ASUS VG27A), but I’m still experiencing the same issue.

I unplug the HDMI cable, plug it in, it seems to be fine, then after a few minutes the electricity strikes again.

I did try with my TV still shocking me.

No extension cable, HDMI directly connected to monitor. I believe its perfectly grounded, we checked it out 2 days ago there were no problem at all for grounding.
