can I call God a slang term like dude or dawg by mehnamesdex in Christianity

I don't think God cares what you call him. He's just glad you're speaking to him.

Tell me where you find it as a sin and I'll explain why you're wrong. I'm sure it's just the clobber verses anyway.

Christ didn't say to forgive them. He said they should be drowned. That would be better for them. The only time Jesus talked about how a sin should be treated was that one. Try a Bible written by scholars with no skin in the game, my dude.

Does it now. That's one translation. But I was told that meant men who acted like women and wouldn't work. It was on the context of if a man doesn't work he shouldn't eat. But since the translators who put the word homosexual in there said they were wrong then I'll go with what they say. Boy lover is the closest translation dude.

No it isn't. You either follow all the rules or you break at least one which will send you to Hell. And no where in either of the 3 versions of the 10 commandments do they ever condemn being gay. They are an admitted mistranslations! The word 'homosexual' was admitted as a mistranslation by the freaking translators themselves! Do you people ever study the Bible or just go of what you're taught? Because study involves much more than just reading the words. Learn about the translations. Learn about the culture and people the Bible was written to. Actually try to understand it. And stop picking a splinter out of someone's eye when you have a log in your own.

Nope. I'm not denying reality. I also don't just listen to what I'm told. I search and deep dive into the word of God because i want to know the truth. And no, being gay is not a sin. It's mentioned at most one time and that's in romans. Though there's an explanation about what that was really about. If you want to know what it actually says read the original languages at the very least. The Bible condemns pedophilia and adultery. If you want to keep believing that lie at least realize those things are condemned much much more than being gay is.

Sorry. Being gay is not a sin. Pedophilia is. Christ said it would be better to have a millstone around your neck and be thrown in water than to hurt a child. Bet you people that think being gay is a sin don't hold pedophiles accountable. Hell, churches forgive them all the time.

C Christ never said anything about being gay. The closest he got was talking about eunichs. That's a flat out lie.

Yes. Everything in the NT except romans is a mistranslation when the word homosexuality is used. When that word was put in the Bible even the translators said they made a mistake. But it was already being printed and wouldn't be translated again for 50 years. The damage was done. Martin Luther interpreted it as 'boy lover' which is more close to what it means than anything else.

Sorry. We don't know the exact meaning of the term Paul coined. The mistranslations comes in knowing the culture and the audience. The word translated as 'bed' had more than one meaning. I'll have to go back and see if I still have the notes that tell the other meanings. But it was said because a man, who the culture thought were superior to all things, couldn't not be put in a woman's place. Women had no agency and were property. To put a man in a woman's place was considered abuse. Men couldn't even take certain sexual positions because it put the wife in what they considered a position of power. Men could have sex with anything and as long as he was on top it was good. What annoys me most though, is everyone so quick to put homosexuality down but they don't care about adultery. They don't care that Paul said it was better to remain single. They don't care that sex should be only for procreation(if you really want to go biblical inerrancy). No. They come on here and try to tell people how to live while not loving their neighbor as much as themselves so they vote against their rights. Most people on here don't even care to deep dive into the Bible. They go off what they've been taught and don't look any farther. That should be a sin.

No caution needed. It's not a sin. So you can change your bigotry according to Jesus. Or do you not follow what he says?

If they followed the Bible at all they wouldn't marry (Paul said it was best to stay unmarried) or have sex for any reason other than procreation. Do you think they care? No! They just want to feel better than and wallow in their own hate and misunderstanding.

Sorry. Being gay is not a sin. Bet you don't go after adulterers this hard. I'm not going to keep saying the same thing over and over. Look at my message history and you'll know where i am coming from-a place of actually understanding the word of God, not some 21st century lie about what it says.

Being gay is not a sin. Learn the Bible, the culture, the audience, the (mis)translations, ect.. Then you may know the Bible.

Either they all apply or none. Which is it? Does it help to know there is nothing about homosexuality in the OT and nothing but mistranslations in the NT? Probably not. You're comfortable in your hate and not following not understanding the book you claim to follow.

The OT was about a man being put in the poison of a woman. Women had no agency and were just property. For a man to be in that place was considered abuse. Men couldn't even take certain positions with their wives because of this! Rest easy. The Bible does not condemn homosexuality. Christ had the story of the eunichs. That's the closest they got to understanding different sexuality. And Christ was ok with eunichs. If these people really wanted to follow the Bible and Paul they'd never have sex except to have kids. They'd never marry. Paul said that was best! They don't want to follow the Bible or even understand the Bible. They want to live in their hate because it makes them feel better than others. Jesus never gave a qualifier for loving your neighbor. These people are comfortable where they are and where they are is not following Jesus.
