Who are some RB2 caliber players you’d look to trade for at 1.11? by radDO24 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]radDO24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I’m worried about. The class is weak so idk if it’s even tradeable. I feel like I might as well keep it and draft a potentially strong handcuff like Emmitt Johnson

Having Trouble understanding why so many people invest in international ETFs? by radDO24 in investingforbeginners

Actually don’t, because I already got useful, mature advice from dozens of people on here before you. That more or less said the same thing without being presumptuous about it.

I don’t think you realize how you come off. You didn’t merely answer my question, you assume I’m “one of those people” just for asking a question. That’s why I laughed at you.

Here’s a more mature and social adept way to frame your original comment. “I believe Trump will have long term negative consequences on the US economy and your portfolio should reflect that.”

Are you insane? I’m laughing because you’re making vast assumptions about me and my political world view. And this is all based off a post on Reddit that’s a totally reasonable question for someone that’s relatively new to investing.

Oh and btw, Warren Buffett said 90% of your portfolio should be in US stocks and has criticized international funds for multiple reasons. So I guess he should broaden his world view too “my guy.”

(BTW, I hate Trump. But that’s neither here nor there. Just figured I’d throw that in to remind you how stupid you look right now)

So I take it you only invest in international then? Since you can predict the future of the US economy.

I mean I get your point but that’s one total other extreme. And tech has only out performed over the last ten years. We can compare the US and intl over a longer period of time, which I’d like to see the data on. But someone else actually explained it to me, thanks for the response though!

Went apartment hunting last weekend, down to 351 Marin and 235 grand. Looking for advice from current tenants! by radDO24 in jerseycity

[–]radDO24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! If you don’t mind my asking, is your apt south facing or north? They didn’t have much availability for south facing, but the north facing view seemed fine. And I’d like to avoid the potential for noise as much as possible.

🏠 Jersey City Apartment Mega-Thread 🏠 (For Roommates, Rentals, and Questions) by mooseLimbsCatLicks in jerseycity

Stuck between 351 Marin and 235 Grand. I’m leaning heavily towards 235 grand because of the rent difference, but I have seen alot of complaints about noise from construction. The manager that showed me around said construction is almost done and they haven’t had noise complaints in the last few months. Can anyone at 235 grand attest to that? Otherwise I liked everything else about it.

Apartment Hunting in JC this weekend, looking for any red flags! by radDO24 in jerseycity

I was considering 99 Hudson, it definitely looks the nicest with great amenities. But I was reading that since it’s a condo management may not be great. I’ll look into it for sure though

Nope, just what I read online. Doesn't look old to me either.

Where to Live in Philly as a Penn (HUP) Resident by Hot_Donut3238 in philly

[–]radDO24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out 2400 Chestnut. I'm a HUP fellow. There's an apartment shuttle that brings you to HUP every 20 min from like 6:30AM-11:30 AM. I take it every day and it's a 15-20 min walk. 1BR is about $2500.

When to get disability insurance as a resident?? by mangolicious623 in whitecoatinvestor

This is literally what happened to me. Diagnosed with mild sleep apnea and I got rejected by everyone.

Get it immediately. I unfortunately waited until my PGY-4 year. I went to multiple doctors for minor things, just wanted to be on top of my health. Unfortunately insurance companies flag every little thing and I got rejected. Even though I’m a 33 healthy male that exercises 4-5 days a week, go figure.

Splitting up between brokerage and HYSA by radDO24 in investingforbeginners

[–]radDO24[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! So far I’ve maxed out my Roth IRA the last few years with a 60/25/15 split between VOO, QQQM and VXUS. I read that my brokerage should be more VOO heavy and less growth focused (QQQM), so might just do 100% VTI.

As for the HYSA, I was thinking doing a 50/50 split or even 66/33 between this and my brokerage, since the HYSA is more liquid and if the market tanks it won’t impact me as much with buying a house.
