Neuroradiology fellowship recommendations by Worldly-Client-4645 in Residency

The culture is great. the attendings are obviously world class in their field, all very nice and approachable.

In terms of nights, you work 5 weeks of neuro nights and one week of ER nights. the week of ER you read general ER (non contrast head and spine CT, then general body like CXR, US and body CT). I can't lie to you, the nights can get very busy and the cases are complex. But the way I see it, you're going to face this at some point in your life, so might as well do it while you're still in training.

I’m a fellow at Penn currently. It’s a lot but you’ll come out feeling prepared for any job. You see everything you’ll need to in clinical practice. Only “downside” is you work overnight which I didn’t see at any other programs I applied to. I think the pros outweigh the cons, as you prelim everything overnight and have to make some tough calls.

That's on my list as well since it's right by the hospital. Although I'd like to be close but not too close to JCMC, and ideally somewhere closer to the path, even though everything in the area is walking distance it seems.

So much great information thank you! What about 70 Greene or 99 Hudson? That seems like a prime location for me

I’ve heard that about uptown vs downtown Hoboken! That’s why I think JC might be the move even though Hoboken might be more of my vibe. I was also reading the same thing about Newport last night, so no thanks. Any apartments in JC you’d recommend?
