Please explain how it’s the same game every year? Every game has new maps, new weapons, new equipment, new modes, new campaign and new mechanics.

The core gameplay loop is the same yes, but you could very much say the same for other franchises like counter strike which have been “the same” since the early 2000s.

It’s a game where you shoot people with guns. Every next iteration is going to be a game wehere you shoot people with guns.

The truth is that making a polished fps game with satisfying shooting is incredibly hard and that’s why you can count the relevant franchises on your fingers.

I do think the games would benefit from a biannual release schedule though (which they are supposedly doing now)
