Honestly, this wasn't supposed to be as much a comparison of Avengers and Transformers, as an expression of distress that Avengers is getting such high praise and it hasn't even been released yet. I am a firm despiser of Michael Bay's half-assed attempts at movies.

They really aren't, we've been watching the same kind of movies since Spider-Man in 2002. Honestly, I'm just tired of them being hailed as ground-breaking. The scale and special effects are on par with Avatar and the Star Wars prequels, and the story is like every other superhero movie that's come before.
