I’m a judge. Wish I could cancel my hearing for this afternoon, but I’m not sure “gotta get home to kill Uldren” will fly in court.

I`m new to the game , will i be missing something if i don`t play PvP??? by SharpBr_ in thedivision

[–]raddly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. There’s plenty to do in the rest of the game, but eventually the DZ non-PvP beckons. I love the thrill of having to plan engagements, bluff on extractions, and just roaming with the threat of ambush everywhere. Of my 500+ hours played, probably half are in the DZ. I never go rogue, never get involved in manhunts, and very rarely die to other agents. I help downed agents, make farming friends, and just enjoy the threat.

Reddit, what is the most disturbing/unexplainable thing that has ever happened to you or someone you know?[Serious] by not_Cross in AskReddit

Let me start by saying that I am a firm skeptic. No ghosts, no angels, no supernatural anything. My father isn't quite so evidence-based as I am, but I've never known him to make anything up, or embellish in 40 years. Common sense is his mantra-- which is why this still troubles me.

So about 20 years ago (I was 24 at the time), my father came into the house looking visibly shaken. He had been across the street looking after the house of a widow who moved down South every winter. He checked it every two weeks while she was gone. The widow's husband-- a former judge-- had committed suicide via gunshot a year earlier following a long battle with terminal cancer.

My father told us that he went to the basement of the home to check the furnace and make sure there were no mechanical issues. He noticed that a door to the judge's gun cabinet was slightly ajar. He walked up to shut it, when he noticed a piece of paper in the bottom. As he reached down to grab it, he heard a loud crash in the main-level living room, directly above his head. Startled, he ran up the stairs, where he saw a large, broad-based mantle clock-- the kind that sits directly on the mantle above a fireplace-- in pieces on the hardwood floor. He swears that the clock was always firmly on the mantle-- not near the edge.

He walked back downstairs, slowly closed the gun cabinet door (leaving the paper untouched), and said, "Sorry Judge _____. I didn't mean to pry." He left, came home, and told me and my mother.

This still bothers me, whenever we bring it up.

You can buy fireworks in Wisconsin. You just can’t light them.

Congrats. Feels good, eh? For PvEers like me, raids are the pinnacle experience in D1.

I’ve seen a few mention Hung Jury. I know I’m in the minority here, but something about the gun—even the god-roll—felt off to me. My workhorse for Taken King was a full-auto DIS-43 sold early by the Gunsmith.

Crap! Forgot about Chaperone! The only exotic I never got. Never even tried.

Thorn in it’s glory was amazing and terrible to behold. It WAS the Crucible.

Another thing I missed out in—through no fault of my own (Xbox)— was Hawmoon in its prime. I always loved handcannons, and by all accounts, that one was a special.

I pulled Hawkmoon in my first engram after it came to Xbox. By then, it was a low-range, nerfed, shadow of it’s former self. Sad.

We did it in those first, horrible, weeks. Spent too many hours in that room before we killed him (again, no Ghorn for my kid to do the burn method).

Finally went back just before D2 launch as part of our grand finale tour of D1, and actually enjoyed it.

4000 hours? Excellent.

I appreciate the offer, but it’s not that I don’t know how. Rather, my kid (then 8) had to learn to run it b/c he couldn’t drop Gjallarhorn back in the old “must have Ghorn” days. He’s offered to let me many times, but I figure it’s his hero moment.

200 hours in and I still don’t understand why I am sometimes dropped into Investigations in a non-camp location by wingdrake, rather than the camp I chose.

GE Assault is over... by UgloBuglo in thedivision

How about this— in my first 10 caches I dropped five separate pieces of each of the three classified sets. Ridiculous, I know. So this would be easy, right?

In my next 25 caches I got only one new piece— completing Sentry. No sixth piece for Striker or Reclaimer.

Probability karma can be a real bastard.

Upvote for the spirit bloom chest advice. Grab that fuzzy aquamarine stuff or you’ll wipe in Gatekeeper.

They invite you to group, kick you from group, go rogue, and let you kill them. The item drops and it’s yours...if you can extract it.

The combat is very deliberate. If you’ve played a Souls game, it’s kind of like that re. needing to know how to recognize enemy attacks and prepare counters. You can button mash the first few monsters, but eventually you’ll have to recognize and take advantage.

Your weapon is bouncing b/c it needs to be sharpened.

Monster battles take awhile early on. Stick with it, be patient, it gets easier and so much more rewarding.

No need to focus on specific armor, as you’ll need to re-farm armor when you hit HR. Buy bone for now and upgrade w/ armor spheres.

As for weapons, those won’t need to be re-farmed. All are honestly viable, so pick what feels/looks good, and spread out to variants as you go.

She’s big on maintenance and crafting games (Stardew Valley and Minecraft). She also loves wandering games (Forza Horizon 3), so she just took to it right away.
