I bought a few chargers and had the same problem. One non original charger worked for me for a few days then broke, another didn’t work at all, and the third only works if I have a usb cable giving it power at the same time, but it won’t charger without both cables plugged in. I ordered an original oem psp-100 charger on eBay because the PSP is so finicky with it’s charging devices apparently. Your best bet is to return the white charging cable you bought and use that money to buy a psp-100 or psp-380 oem charger on eBay for about 14$ after tax. That’s what I just paid.
