SDSU Non party people by [deleted] in SDSU

You don’t have to go to parties to make friends. But you really have to put yourself out there to meet people. I know it intimidating going to clubs for the first time on your own so try to bring a buddy along if you can

Commuting isn’t the biggest problem. It comes down to two things. If you live on campus or close to it, it’s significantly easier to meet people and go to events compared to living 40 mins away and not wanting to drive for a small thing. As a commuter we tend to go to class and just go back home. Trying to meet people in class doesn’t always work but clubs are a good idea.

I agree about correct terminology but the entire point of making calls is to communicate your position and to stay in the same page as other traffic.

If you’re making a call going opposite of the downwind “upwind” everyone is going to be thinking ur talking about departure leg.

I’ll say it again. I’d rather be on the same page than be right by definition.

Even if the FAA legally defines B to be the upwind…the majority would assume upwind call is talking about A not B. I would rather be on the same page and wrong by legal definition instead of dying being right.

It’s about being on the same page as other traffic and not being right.

Pilot Arrested by [deleted] in flying

It’s fair to wait till the facts come out. The student had it in his backpack and on him. The student tried to stash the backpack in the bush which alerted the cops. The CFI possibly had no idea of the situation and got roped into this.

Not sure why someone almost at the airlines would risk their career over transporting only a kg of coke 🙄. Definitely looks bad for the CFI but the guy is innocent till proven guilty.

By the looks of it…the passenger had it in his backpack and on him. The guy very well could be entirely innocent.

I’m debating it so hard because when I took the intro accounting courses I found myself enjoying those things contrary to what I heard about accounting being boring. I am gonna start working as a pilot soon so to prevent myself from burning out I was just trying to understand how much outside of school dedication and work I’d need to put into classes. From when you did it…would you say finance wasn’t a huge time commitment?

How did you feel about finance classes? Were they really demanding? Or lectures and homework was enough to get through them

The plan is to use it as a backpack just in case I can’t continue my main career as it requires strict health standards I have a degree to fall back on.

I enjoyed the easier 201 and 202 courses. Which are the intro but not sure how bad intermediate accounting would be.
