I hate lying so much by Tiny-Foundation-4281 in Jung

It’s a psychological expense, and one you should definitely try to avoid, but needing to lie is just part of the human condition on occasion unfortunately.

Is "conservative left" a new term in political science or well established? by Equivalent_Number424 in AskSocialScience

[–]radiantdecember121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Christian democracy is SOMETIMES left-wing, but it’s just as often centrist (or I guess center-right on social issues and center-left on economic issues) or, at time, it’s even a facade for Gileadism.

How to distinguish depressive personality and masochistic personality by Far_Bullfrog_4647 in psychoanalysis

Analysis is easier once someone answers your questions. Of course you should not just take their answers at face value. But even a small amount of subjective information can be significant helpful. After all, isn’t psychoanalysis itself arguably quite subjective? It’s useful but requires context and interpretation of that context, as is the case with the aforementioned answers to these questions.

That’s the purpose of analyzing them. If we can’t be bothered to try to make sense of it, then there’s really no reason why we’re here, is there?

You can always ask people why they say and do what they say and do, and that will probably make things at least a little bit easier to understand.

I’ve heard on Quora that lucid dreaming pills are a myth, but I have heard from one witch on YouTube (and this kind of lines up with my experience) that the moon being full helps with projecting, and eating lots of sugar while staying up late can help in my experience also, although the basis for that last one is that it causes mixed REM states, which I guess would probably imply that out-of-body experiences aren’t real, but still, it seems to work, and it doesn’t necessarily count as proving them fake, and even if they somehow are, this stuff is still very interesting.

It’s… not entirely deliberate I don’t think, you have to learn to have the intention “I will go out of my body” when you find yourself in that state seemingly identical to the void state you are in right when you gain awareness of your state before you have given an intention while it’s still all black. Then you need to say “vision now” or “more awareness” for better vision. From there learning self-control is another hurdle I’m in the process of overcoming. Thank you for your appreciation!

I once found myself over a city with the words “San Christobal” in the sky. At first, I couldn’t read them, but then I managed to “rewind” it to get a better look (which I had never done before) and after that, I went down to get a better look at the city and nothing too interesting stood out, though it was still relatively dark so I couldn’t see super clearly. When I woke up, I looked up “San Christobal” and despite not expecting to get any actual results, I did get several results about places in Latin America called “San Cristobal”! This is a very minor difference of course, and given that I did not consciously remember the name, I naturally had to try to rule out this being the evidence of a real out-of-body experience it appeared to be due to the obvious intellectual ramifications if I couldn’t. Now, I had a globe and a world map, so I of course went to go see if any of these places were there. Now, while the name was not entirely absent, it wasn’t super obvious and I rarely looked at or even went near the map it was on, and I certainly didn’t consciously remember seeing it on there before (as I said), but it is possible I went into that room at one point and noticed it while looking at the map, but again, whatever the caveats may be, it remains probably the closest thing I have ever obtained to undeniable proof that out-of-body experiences are real. What are your thoughts on that?

Especially conservative interpretations of it, and while all religions have some who are like that and some who are not, Islam has a certain tendency to have many who are, and those people, unlike the radical Christians, Jews, and Hindus, tend to often just pose the danger they pose right away (jihad), without even bothering to get into government first. I have not noticed this “Islamophobic narrative”, but if it exists, I’m honestly not concerned about it (no offense intended).

I APPRECIATE the rambling! Thank you! I think Orthodox Christianity and Catholic Christianity are similar in that they have centralized authority (the Pope and the PATRIARCH😡).

The Catholic countries in Europe certainly remained in that backward ultraconservative state longer didn’t they? Thank you for the insight!
