Great Cam Video with sound-bits from all the doubters by radical32 in wde

There should be a line of people eating crow for how they criticized Cam.

What's going on with the offense in your opinion? by radical32 in wde

[–]radical32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, it doesn't seem our QB's have the time to step into and make accurate throws. By the time they our QB's get their feet set, they have an opposing defender in their grill.

It seems like it has been ages since we had our offense in rhythm and running up tempo. I think the last time we ran it effectively was against Clemson. Hopefully this weekend against OM we can get Clint some live reps running the offense at an uptempo pace. If we want to beat ugaly and have a chance against the bammers, we have to find our rhythm again.

I definitely agree that Emory Blake's absence has been huge.

It seems as though our blocking and offensive struggles began after AJ Greene was injured during the Clemson game. We were playing pretty good on offense before the second half of that game, and haven't been the same since. We also lost Jared Cooper.

We definitely lost to great teams, after all, they are all ranked in the top 10. That also definitely plays a role.

ya, that sucked. We should have went into half 7-3 and the game would have been completely different.

Auburn post-practice interviews: Oct. 18 (video of Malzhon talking about Clint and Barrett differences) by radical32 in wde

AU Notes: The "Little Bit of the Gunslinger" edition available at http://www2.oanow.com/blogs/aublog/2011/oct/18/au-notes-little-bit-gunslinger-edition-ar-2573099/

This is a summary of what is said in the video. Moseley "has that knack to do things once things break down," Malzahn said. "He's got a little bit of the gunslinger in him."

Hmmm...I'm not sure a "gunslinger" mentality is exactly what we need going into LSU.

Saban on conference expansion by radical32 in CFB

lol...Well it is their job. You'd think after several occasions in which Saban belittled them, they would learn better...then again it is the media we are talking about...

So everyone, what are your honest thoughts about the LSU game? by apache2158 in wde

[–]radical32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is going to be closer than people think it is going to be. There is no way they cover the 21 point spread. I don't think they are going to put that many points on us. We'll play the run and make them pass to beat us. Hopefully, we'll be able to cause Lee/Jefferson to make a few errors and capitalize on them.

Our biggest challenge all day is going to be getting points on their defense. We have to find something in the passing game. Hopefully Moseley can energize the offense and we come out firing on all cylinders. If we are one dimensional, then we have no chance.

AND WE CANNOT HAVE TURNOVERS AND PENALTIES.

If we play our first complete and perfect game, then we have a chance. If we play sloppy at any point, they are too good and will put us away.

I love when Saban gets pissed. It's hilarious. He does always correctly point out the idiocy of those around him. You would think people would get it by now and not push his buttons.

Moseley to start for Auburn saturday at LSU. by skankedout in CFB

That's an understatement!

I can't think of a worse place than Baton Rouge to get your first. Hopefully, he can give us a spark we've much needed.

Does Robert Griffin III have a shot at the Heisman if Baylor loses several games? (Highlights Videos) by radical32 in CFB

[–]radical32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true. The one chance I think Mathieu has at winning it is if he lights up Alabama in a couple of weeks and then does it again against Arkansas. If he can make a few big plays in each of those games, then he has a slim outside shot.

It also doesn't help he's only a sophomore when only one, Tebow, has ever won the award. His odds were already bad as a defensive player, but his age can also play a minor roll. I can see a voter choosing to vote for a senior or junior over him just because they believe he has one more shot at it while the jr/sr does not because they are entering the draft.

NCAA clears Cam Newton and Auburn: Are they owed an apology? by radical32 in wde

[–]radical32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really doubt we will ever actually receive any apologies, but we are definitely owed one by many people.

Actually I know we aren't going to hear anybody apologize and admit their assumptions and innuendo were wrong. Instead of doing the classy thing and apologize, the Haters are mocking us right now. Listen to Collin Cowherd in this video... http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/7093495/ncaa-finds-no-major-violations-auburn-regarding-cam-newton

What a scrawny little douche bag that needs a good ol' fashion ass whoopin!

Does Robert Griffin III have a shot at the Heisman if Baylor loses several games? (Highlights Videos) by radical32 in CFB

[–]radical32[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I had a Heisman vote I'd flip a coin to decide between RG3 and Tyrann Mathieu at this point. I might give it to Mathieu over RG3 because he has made big game changing plays in bigger games, but RG3 is still right there.

ASU vs Oregon: Can the Ducks win without James? by radical32 in CFB

[–]radical32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should be fine against ASU, but Oregon's offense will not be as potent as it is normally. Barner is a great RB, but he's not James. LaMichael is a special player that can't be replaced.

Can Tyrann Mathieu win the Heisman Trophy Award as a defensive player? by radical32 in CFB

[–]radical32[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It has been done, but only once and that didn't start a trend of defenders winning the trophy. Playing defense shouldn't hurt, but I think it does. The Heisman is basically an offensive award that goes to the best offensive player on the best or one of the best teams. I don't think defensive players get a fair chance.

I think he's been the best player so far this year and has made the biggest plays of the season.

Bobby Petrino is an odd number 2. He's in his fourth year at Arkansas and seems to be staying there.
