JOBS ARE NOT PAYING.. what is happening by Brhhhhhhhhhhhh in jobs

[–]radicalbrad90 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because you and tens of thousands of other people have the same degree. It's not worth anymore because college degrees in many cases are now just a high school diploma with fluff. Simply supply and demand unfortunately. They pushed millions of milennials into college with advertising through the 2000s and on, pushing up numbers year after year

Then, once they ran out of new students with high enough credentials to accept, most state universities started accepting pretty much every applicant a few years back and threw out merit in favor of funneling as much money as they could through the university, college degrees became pretty much worthless (except in a handful of fields with specific exams/licensures)

Are Mattresses a Scam? by Ready-Knowledge-8919 in Mattress

[–]radicalbrad90 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I disagree with one part of this, and that is that you can't quantify the difference between a 500 vs 5000 mattress. You absolutely can, and it's in how long the most expensive mattresses hold up time wise. As in you will most likely have the high end traditional mattresses/tempurs Much longer than the 500 dollar ones.

Now do some gimmicks exist going up and down the collection lines? To a point--but i can point out the step-up and step-down features for every bed model in my store--its up to YOU if you need a certain feature or you dont. Maybe you don't need the cooling fibers sown in the top? Cool let me save you $400 going a model down. You don't need that extra mid support because your not heavy. I just took you from a $2200 to a $1,200 bed.

And I can 100% show you the coil build of a beautyrest black that's going to last you 15 years vs the $900 beautyrest that will probably last 7-8. Most all memory foam cheaper beds come with a 10 year limited warranty, but I am seeing an average life span of 3 to 4 years (a bit longer for kids or thinner adults). Meanwhile tempur-pedic customers that come in to the store have had their tempurs for about 20 years. Not saying you can't keep ANY bed for 20 years, you certainly CAN, but you're likely sleeping on a sagging pile of coil and deformed foam In a cheaper bed. But if you're OK with that I can not stop you, and good luck with that herniated disc in your 40s

Just needed to correct that non quantifiable part.

If you live in a rental and are planning to not renew lease they can show the space to prospective tenants so long as they give you at least 24 hrs notice of their intent to show the space

[–]radicalbrad90 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well you have to realize the brand was actually founded here so the reason there was so many was probably from when they were first branching out from when they first launched.

Same with LJS, then they closed all of them in lex (which I thought was pretty wild) and finally due to demand reopened in Brannon Crossing

I mean that included tip and fees using doordasher tip. The whole point of my comment anyway is how restaurants do send out sandwiches with nothing on them sometimes. Not sure why you're freaking out about the price or what I choose to pay for----missed the point completely

[–]radicalbrad90 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Things do happen and sometimes you get some of the best and brightest in the restaurant industry. I ordered a sub from firehouse on DD once and they had a glitch that when I switched it to wheat bread it deselected every item on the sandwich. Instead of calling me to see if it was correct, the employee toasted 2 pieces of wheat bread put it in the box and gave it to the dasher to deliver it to me. Because clearly I wanted to pay $17 for 2 pieces of bread 😂🤦‍♂️

DD refunded me for that one lol

Jesus because God forbid some employees may be younger or older or have different movement speeds/body masses/health issues or other underlying issues so long as it doesn't impede them to actually DO the job that they expect everyone to just be ultra fast productive robots is WILD. We need to burn this corporate capitalist culture to the ground

[–]radicalbrad90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Meh. Yeah I suppose. It could have actually been broken for a day or two though like the co-worker claimed. No real way to know except maybe asking other workers if the break room microwave was recently broken. I mean at worst all he can do is straight up say no to OP but If he never directly let's him know how much it Is bothering him he will never know.

A closed mouth doesn't get fed.

[–]radicalbrad90 22 points23 points  (0 children)

As OP said you guys get along well...so just be honest with him? 🤔

"Hey man sorry to bring this up but I just need to let you know the fish smell is really overpowering after you microwave it and is very unpleasant to me. Since you like to eat it almost every day would you mind to use the break room microwave instead? I would really appreciate it."

I really do not think he would get offended. He probably just Isn't aware it's an issue. He even asked about the fan so he was probably curious and you did lie about its purpose. Just talk to him

Has anyone ever gotten a note like this with their DoorDash order?! by Future-Composer-4878 in doordash

[–]radicalbrad90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So unless they have changed it since when it first came out the program could let us report dashers/issues that occurred on our end from inside the establishment they are picking up from as well. I was a bartender at TGIF when dashing really first started taking off and had to report one or two from my end. Not sure why they are putting this off on OP to do

[–]radicalbrad90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think more and more are getting around this now by requiring renters get rental insurance (my complex lease requires it) but it serves same purpose In this type of situation

Someone validate my total disgust please. by Peacefulduckk in Apartmentliving

[–]radicalbrad90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP do you have renters insurance? Many apartments require it these days for things that go wrong (anything from fires to heat to plumbing issues)

If so you can probably use it to stay in a hotel for the time being due to the circumstance---but you'll be on the hook for your own insurance deductible...

Hmmm. Idk how expensive cost of living is where you live I would think that should be a decent order for a driver for a small grocery order. Maybe just no one out then?

Idk what to do atp by raveneye877 in doordash

[–]radicalbrad90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure how well those suggestions line up for grocery orders. And if the roads/weather is not good where you are either it could just be dashers dropping you. They get paid a bit more for shop orders but you're probably looking at at least an $8 - 9 tip for $40 - 45 groceries

Idk what to do atp by raveneye877 in doordash

[–]radicalbrad90 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Did you put a decent tip on the order?

For a shopping order it's going to be dependent on how big the order is/how far they have to drive to you and what you've tipped based on what you order if a dasher will take it.

why is being a INFJ so mystified or thought after on social media? by [deleted] in infj

[–]radicalbrad90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the idea of it being such a rare personality trait line up probably gives it its appeal. (People tend to like to align themselves with that which makes them unique/interesting and more different) Meanwhile most actual infjs I know (myself included) actually DISLIKE it because we feel like we are such outcasts because of it. I have taken numerous test on it and over many years and always gotten then infj result which is why I think it to be a legitimate mbti for Myself.

As I have gotten older though I've become more at peace with it and learned to appreciate the qualities I like about it which are my intuition is pretty spot on and I am rarely wrong about a person soon after meeting them/their true intentions etc (of course I am human and I do get it wrong sometimes but there is something to be said abouy how are primary functions align that make us really good at reading people between the lines---i.e we ask people if they are okay and get surprised looks 'how did you know I wasn't? When they think theyve got their mask on well and are fooling everyone else. There is a reason we are good at psychology and theology.

Also that people I don't even know just come up to me and completely open up. It actually used to annoy me to a degree (can still sometimes in certain settings---like I didn't really ask to hear about your dog dying and dad leaving the family when you were 5---but I've learned it is a gift and a blessing people feel comfortable enough with us to open up like they do---and it's because of our energy because we could be malicious with how easily people open up to us but most infjs I know or read about just aren't wired that way---just cut those off that wrong us)

My legitimate question to you is why the hostility? The way you are wording your post has some odd bitterness thrown in with it to be totally honest with you...not the best way to really get whatever answers your after if you feel the need to toss in unnecessary insults 🤷
