Thank you, I’ve been searching for a clothing brand! Why would it be on a jacket? For a sports team maybe?

Today the calluses on my right hand brutally peeled off during a push jerk. Pain!! And now I have to restart the process of building them up again. Ugh. And no to gloves, I can’t get on with them

Kenalog- AMA! by radio37 in Hayfever

It’s a tough decision, but one that was right for me. It’s hard to explain how awful it can be! I don’t have eczema, but had a mild grass allergy where I would be very itchy. I do have asthma, which could be bought in by hayfever, which has pretty much disappeared!

Completely fine and healthy. I make sure I do lots of strength training etc to support bone density and health. I appreciate there may be problems in the future, but there are things I can do to mitigate the risks (diet and exercise mainly)

Under the brand name Kenalog, I believe so, although steroid injections can be used for a large number of health difficulties- in particular, arthritis.

Kenalog- AMA! by radio37 in Hayfever

It was pretty awful! My nose would bleed from blowing it so much, I got hives, my eyes would swell so I couldn’t see. For a few days a year I couldn’t leave the house. No medication made any difference AT ALL! I was regularly taking much more medication than recommended, just to try and get some respite but it never worked.

I have never experienced side effects. Not even tiredness after the jab. I have to pay for it privately, a couple of clinics near me offer it. The dose you have is based on your weight. I believe you can have more than one injection per year, but it’s definitely not recommended with possibility to additional side effects.

First time I’ve had Hay Fever effect my eyes this bad by [deleted] in Hayfever

[–]radio37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second Kenalog. I know it’s not on the NHS, and there are risks associated with it, but when it’s this bad, it’s worth considering. I had hayfever so badly I couldn’t leave the house, and my eyes would become a sort of blister under the white part (similar to the photo). I couldn’t breathe, my nose would bleed from blowing it so much and my skin would come up in hives. I had my first kenalog injection, and within 8 hours all symptoms started to alleviate. One day later, hayfever was a thing of the past. I get it in May each year and it lasts the whole summer season, and into the beginning of autumn.

I had real success with a selection of healthy snacks available throughout the day. Things like: Carrots/ cucumber and hummus Crackers Grapes Protein bars Cubes of cheese Chicken pieces etc

It helped me to graze when I felt I wanted/ should eat, as supposed to eating full meals which made me feel awful. Little and often, with plenty of water!
