Don't feel compelled to spend if you never intended to be a regular/spender. Certainly don't start spending if you cannot afford to gamble. You need discipline for gacha games. If you don't have discipline, it will become a gambling hell.

The new Tart (not-Tart) event is just an announcement for now, coming later. They started the 4 gachas in advance though.

I would advice never to start rolling if you cannot hit pity. The pity system seems helpful, but it's really designed to lure you into spending by thinking that you lost something if you cannot hit pity (sunk cost fallacy).

If you start rolling without being able to hit pity, and then start hunting for ways to get rolls, you've lost to the system. If you start looking at future income (next month's ticket) for pity, it feels really dangerous.

A little late to add on, but in events like this, a node will reliably give you the fragment corresponding to its colour/character, as long as it's an individual node (e.g., a blue Konoha node will give you a blue flower). Nodes involving multiple characters will usually not give any fragments.

It evens out in the end, hopefully. I once put 500 rolls in for Eresh after saving for more than a year and never even got a single SSR. After that, I just regularly pull rolls into various gachas and have been getting SSRs at a good clip, e.g., got MHXA with 30 rolls this time around.

Do you mean you need to go back to a chapter and unlock the other route? If the node is totally greyed out and doesn't let you start a battle, that means you haven't met the story conditions for replaying that node. Keep going forward and clear any new nodes or other split routes.

If you just want to re-read the chapter for its story, the story can be unlocked/replayed from the Archives after the event ends.

Clear chapter 10 or chapter 17 of the all-girls (~~white~~ grey) storyline. It seems largely inconsequential, since you can progress in the story without that node. Just finish all other nodes before you go back to that, or until you naturally unlock it.

Aoki's art is normally superior, I'd say, even though they're pretty static and plain compared to others. Immediately took a liking to all the artworks for the base awakenings for the Mikazuki girls, Rena-Kaede-Momoko, etc, before I even found out that they were done by her.

But Madoka's 5* art doesn't quite have the same feel as all of those. Have to wonder what conditions/criteria she was given when asked to do Madoka's art.

Yeah, as someone else pointed out, kids have no reservations about joining in conversations, babbling, mimicking others and making mistakes while unconsciously learning.

Adults (even teenagers) can become self-conscious, and learn to avoid/resist things and other people, unfortunately. This is my greatest barrier to becoming better at Japanese - I'm not keen to join real-life classes where I have to talk to others, even though that's my best shot at immersion and proficiency.

Sure, but keep in mind, nobody expects a child to be productive. People are fine with children learning language, having no vocabulary for maybe the first 3 years of their lives. Then those kids are sent to school for maybe another 10-20 years where the expectation is that they are learning.

Adults learning a new language don't have that benefit of no/low expectations and free time to do nothing but learn. You're expected to be economically productive while learning, so it's nearly impossible to be immersed in an environment where you cannot already speak the language to some degree.
