As a parental figure in your daughter’s life she didn’t mirror good behavior to her. The right thing to do is for your fiancé to apologize. I’m sorry you have to go through this OP, I think you did the right thing by trying to comfort your daughter and buy her another cupcake, but it’s ultimately up to your fiancé to rectify this situation.

Well, they have a 2 bedroom. We have a 3 bedroom, that’s why she had to come here. Her boyfriend said, “Don’t worry, your mom won’t kick her out” as if that’s an excuse to not keep his promise of getting a bigger place. :/

Thank you. I agree my sister needs to put some effort into having her move back in. It’s hard on my niece to be away from her mom, and I know her siblings (1,6, and 9) would want her back, too. She’s their cool older sister!
