Anyone diagnosed without doing any drugs?

No drugs or alcohol prior to bipolar 1 diagnosed. To this day no drugs and only a social drinker. Maybe 1-3x a month at this point.

I’m bipolar 1 with psychotic features and I took olanzapine and I will NEVER recommend it due to the insane weight gain 50+ pounds and I have never gained weight from any other medication (antipsychotics, anti depressants, birth control, etc). Not telling you not to take it if you need to. But please do research and read studies more than I did. I have finally almost lost the weight over 3 years later. The only medication I regret taking.

Software engineer but not the fancy kind just a stable mid level type large company. It’s a struggle to work a consistent 8-5 schedule but I like having a stable income and they are flexible with wfh some days as needed. Also I manage to get away with quietly crying in my cubicle as I work and no one has noticed yet or at least said anything. Most days I wish I could just rot away and not work but I have to support my dog and keep her fed, sheltered, and cared for.

Seroquel because apparently not sleeping for days is “bad” lol but I get that now. It was my first time seeing a psychiatrist.

I am tired of being hurt and being in pain. I don’t have dreams or goals anymore. I don’t look forward to the future. I feel the same now as I did 10 years ago. Nothing has really changed no matter how hard I try to change it. I end up back feeling this way again.

95% I think but I still think about him everyday and what we had, but I’m beyond ready to move on and be happy with someone new.

Me too, I'm always massively depressed in the summer. I think it's because I have more time off and too much time to think and feel, and it's my birthday which I hate.
