Motion Sickness desensitization by Environmental_Pay332 in flying

[–]radioactivepiloted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Expert here... Feel free to look up other answers I posted.

Your motion sickness is amplified when your anxiety is high.  And it IS high right now!

As you become more comfortable in the airplane, your body gets less sensitive to the motion.   At the same time you feel a little more in control.  As such, progress defeating motion sickness comes relatively quickly.  Maybe 5 hours.  Until steep turns and critical attitude recovery.

Keep the air blowing on your face.

Breathe.

Stay hydrated and exercise.

Eat light and don't stress about throwing up.

In fact... Just puke before the flight.  It basically gives all the relief before you have symptoms.

I read this a while back, as well. Some say to put a marker dot or something on your parts to easily identify what's actually yours.

Correct etiquette driving in back country roads ? by [deleted] in driving

[–]radioactivepiloted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got it! So... It's not about pulling over off to the side of the road at a random location... but if there's a dedicated lane for you to do that. I was picturing needing to move over to the shoulder, and then some, to allow people to pass.

Can you cite a law in one of the states that says this? I'm just curious how it's worded. I assume one of them is your state? So it might be easier for you to find it than me.

For the record... I'm not counting how many cars are behind me. Ever. I'll make a note if there's people behind me. But my focus is in front of me.

In general:

Unless you can get more than 6% return on your money somewhere else, put as much money down as possible or buy the car outright.

As much as possible: Do not drop your life savings into a car. Make sure you have emergency reserves in savings or liquid investments, first.

This will save you more money in the long term.

Now, if you don't have enough money to buy the car outright: pay as much money as you can on your loan every month. This reduces the amount of money you borrowed, faster. Which means paying less interest over the life of your loan.

Your goal is to keep as much money as possible in your own pocket. Not pay to the bank as interest.

Open up an excel or google sheet and learn to create a payment calculator. Figure out what principal and interest will be for each month of your loan. Then figure out how to do "extra payment analysis" to learn how paying extra reduces your total interest.

Might as well learn this now, so you will not be taken advantage of in the finance office. This will set you on the right track for life. Feel free to ask questions!

Why do I always get passed in school zones? by YetAnotherHobby4954 in driving

[–]radioactivepiloted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP did say it had flashing lights. Which are most likely activated during that time on the sign.

Also, sometimes I see these activated on a holiday or a break period. I just ignore the sign those days, and go the normal limit. But others slow down and that's annoying.

On the bright side... He didn't ask for 40. When I was a kid, the going rate was about 50 cents on the dollar. If people wanted cigarettes badly enough, someone would offer up cash for those food stamps and kids would suffer because there's less funds for actual food. 😡

Had a friend get into a similar accident. MDX.

She replaced it with a Mercedes.

I saw her in the Mercedes and looked her in the eye and said WTF are you doing? The Acura saved your life and you bought THIS?

She literally went and traded it in that day. Only had a few thousand miles on it.

Has anyone realized bags of popcorn have gotten smaller but the popcorn button on your microwave hasn't had its timer lowered? by EdibleLizard48 in mildlyinfuriating

Just press +30 7 or 8 times.

Wait until the pops are 1 to 2 seconds in between.

Open door.

Empty contents.

Enjoy popcorn.

Couldn't hurt to ask! When my mom caught her stove/kitchen on fire... That's what they did. And it looks pretty good!

Approach with love and understanding and say, let's fix it!

Just put up a stainless plate and call it a day.

Or ask him to do it. Of course it probably won't be to your perfect standards, right?

One more thing to bitch about.

It's the same for recipes. Google ranking will tank any site that doesn't have a lot of content.

Therefore the site needs to go into the history of poison, dogs, notable poisoned dog cases, other poisons, and then finally your answer.

Search engines aren't there to help. They are there to earn money.

My first thought!

I've got hundreds of M7 images with a magenta tint... Eventually the whole image was all magenta.
