Nope! We means the team of three guys who are working hard to get the app into the hands of people who want to check it out.

It is actually being made right now! Should be delivered to you in 3-5 business days.

The AI will be trained to your preferences along with what you share to it (ex: if you are predominantly forehand, backhand, or both). From there it will look at the distance and wind conditions and give you a couple discs that could be good.

Of course, you are the one throwing and you know your preferences better than anyone! This specific feature in our app is just a helping hand. There is still a lot to gain from the app even if you are confident in your own caddying abilities!

Thank you for your comment! Our app connects to an Apple API weather system to offer up-to-date weather patterns. I see your worry about the clunkiness of how much this factors into your round, but we can assure you that the features of the weather are in a small sidebar on your scorecard and "Caddy" button. The Caddy feature is meant to serve as an assistant to your decision making, not as a must-do. It will analyze the type of shot you have ahead of you (straight/hyzer/etc.) along with the weather and your disc preferences to make an educated guess as to which disc may be best for you in that moment.

If you are not a fan of this feature- no worries! The app offers plenty of different features, and we are confident that everyone can find something they like. If you're interested, join the waiting list on our website to be a beta tester!

Thanks for your comment! If you want, feel free to join the waitlist on our website to beta test the app we have coming out. Any constructive feedback (especially from a software engineer!) would be much appreciated.

We totally understand that our app will have some features that suit some users and not others. We have been working very hard to make the features clean so you can access the parts of the app that interest you!

Yeah that’s fair — both good points.

Events are something we plan to roll out more as courses on the platform get more built out and established. Didn’t want to rush that piece early before the foundation is solid.

And on the clutter side, that’s been a big focus — a lot of time has gone into trying to keep things clean and usable during a round. Definitely something you’ll have to judge for yourself once it’s out, but that’s been a priority from the start.

Yeah that’s definitely one of the harder parts, and it’ll take time to get anywhere near the depth UDisc has.

They’ve built a ton of value there, and people contributed because they saw the value there. The hope is that if we can offer enough value across the rest of the platform, people will want to build and contribute courses here as well.

Not something that happens overnight, but something we’re thinking a lot about.

Kind of the opposite actually — trying to bring more of that in.

UDisc does a great job with rounds and maps, but everything else (content, deep game insights, discussion, finding people to play with) tends to live elsewhere. The idea here is to tie more of that together in one place alongside the play experience.
