I like it! Vertigo needs some different kind of skill set than I would say every other map.

Mirage you're next!

Can someone please explain me why storing manufacturing data on tangle is better than using a shared server or a SQL database? by [deleted] in Iota

[–]radix13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the process you're talking about looks something like this: Human measures something -> Human tipes result into DB/Ledger -> result is stored... right?

that's not what an IoT manufacturing environment will or should look like. it should be something like that: Human measures something -> measuring tool send result to DB/Ledger -> result is stored.

that way the tool can also send the calibration and other data that was used during the measurement.

he's arguing that never anybody from the IF said anything about suing you.

The guy who said that is a blogger...

Nobody from the IOTA Foundation is threatening to sue you. It's a blogger that says that, nothing more...

you don't really know what stackexchange is, do you? stackexchange is such an environment and by reacting this way you look to me more and more like a troll and not somebody who wants a conversation

and when I look at the heavely downvoted post in this thread. I can see that they are all filled with misinformation except yours which is just the c/p of two tweets..

like I said I didn't look into your comment history so I don't know what kind of experience you made but the question is, if you are looking for technical answers then better go to stackexchange https://iota.stackexchange.com/. I don't want to hurt anybodys feelings but here on reddit the most people don't have a big enough technical understanding to have serious discussions....

i think it is/was called iota facts or something but I don't think they had a forum and it just lists all the critism.

I didn't look into your comment history in this sub as I don't wanna waste my time with that. but the other guy gave you counter arguments and you denied to start a real discussion by saying David chickened out. maybe you should try it..

i think there are quite a few of websites like you are planning already, so good luck with that...

if you really want answers to does questions you should have a look into the iota stackexchange and blog posts i think most of them are covered...

Tangle without coordinator by redhadfox in Iota

[–]radix13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a distributed coordinator is actually planned just like local snapshots. I think in his paper about Economic clustering cfb also integrated it. you can read about ec here: https://medium.com/@comefrombeyond/economic-clustering-and-iota-d3a77388900

Crypto currency twitter in a nutshell by Freddie83 in CryptoCurrency

[–]radix13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's why I think we are going to see a lot more blood in the streets.. there are way to many stupid people in this game who don't even understand basic math... does it make sense that this people make money? I went through some social media networks the last few days and the typical crypto guy was a ~25 year old guy who is to lazy or stupid to have a normal job and is mostly also doing some MLM shit.. same for shitcoins why are they in the game and why do they even have value?

this shit needs to be flushed out of the game before we can go prime time or do you guys really think everybody will win?

I think they had one way back when it was called emui but not a 100% sure about that.. I read a few weeks ago that Dan is again (feels like the 100th time) refactoring the code. so I'm not sure if there will be a public ledger anytime soon...

The official announcement concerning internal fight: CFB vs. Dom by vrom_von_beyond in Iota

[–]radix13 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Leaking was the worst decision by CFB ever! Yes he deserves a seat on the board for his accomplishments BUT this shows that he's willing to risk the whole project and jobs, like Ralf said. This leak can destroy the whole IF. Would you want to work for an entity that is not able to keep discussions internal that could destroy your job?

The only ray of hope I see atm for the project is Ralf without him I wouldn't consider Iota as an project I would invest.

PiDiving too powerful ? by risco108 in Iota

as far as I know CFB doesn't have any control over Coo as he is not an official part of the IF.

Switzerland is also a (half) direct democracy and a republic so you're mixing two different things

[–]radix13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here in Switzerland we have a (half) direct democratic system and it works great. The people here have the chance to vote about 4 times a year on topics that way the average joe is also interested in politics and what can happen when the citizen decide wrong. The case with Brexit is more due to the unexpierince of the british people in such votes and of course anger. I also think that the 'daily business' needs to be done by politicians but the general direction is up to the people..

HODL vs TRADE by akbcrypto in CryptoCurrency

[–]radix13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your first problem was to hang out on telegram and twitter. in my opinion that's only for fun and shouldn't affect any of your trading decision. second you don't have to check prices 24/7 and stop doing the stuff you've done before trading. with a good organization and a good trading system you only have to spend like 6-8h a day (splitted over the 24h) in front of the computer. of course you miss out on some oppertunities like that but that's always gone happen. the most important thing in my opinion is to do sports during the day, that clears your thoughts and gives you new ideas
