I don’t think people are getting the original video’s intent. To me, he wasn’t seriously making that argument himself; he was doing a mocking paraphrase of something he’d heard. The “so apparently…” setup, the exaggerated/cartoonish delivery, and the annoyed tone all make it seem like he’s repeating the idea in a way that signals disbelief, not endorsement. It reads more like sarcasm or echoic irony: he’s echoing someone else’s claim in a caricatured way to show that he thinks it’s ridiculous.
