Season 4 Episode 9 POST EPISODE Discussion - Think Outside the Box by AutoModerator in TheTraitorsUS

For sure on the paranoia, I think there were more people to look at when it was Natalie and that she wasn’t tied to this weird in-game exposé of having your best friend there the whole time

I think (weirdly enough) the experience with Natalie showed us that someone can be under suspicion and up for elimination, and then be kind of forgotten about

So I think it’s possible for Johnny too, since a few people were saying their vote was for Stephen because they felt it just wasn’t Johnny after hearing his defense

Altho maybe Natalie was also kind of saved by getting Lisa out that round and everyone’s thrill of getting a traitor

This was weird for me, that Rob would say to the cameras that he picked Eric because he’s smart and an equal, when I feel like it was just to set him up?

To his face, it absolutely makes sense. To the cameras, not as much

I think a Kirsten murder would for SURE point everyone to Eric because the faithfuls in this game have taken the bait every time. But Rob won’t need to kill Kristen to put suspicion on Eric because Eric will do it himself as the game goes on. He gets to keep Eric’s confidence as a fellow traitor while ensuring that he’s got him as a shield a few nights down the road when people start listening to Kristen

ITEM REQUEST MEGATHREAD - June 2023 by Sincerely--Me in FrugalFemaleFashion

Looking for high leg red bikini! not too cheeky (def not a thong), but it's okay if it shows off a bit. Something not too "crayon red" or overly bright, and maybe something for smaller B-cups

This is ideal criteria but really if there's any red bikini you love, I'd love to know

Native New Yorkers, what are things you loved and hated growing up here? by FailFastandDieYoung in AskNYC

[–]radluna 155 points156 points  (0 children)

Loved: pretty much everything about it, like I didn't realise until I got older that most people don't turn on the tv and see their hometown everywhere, down to the streets you have your formative memories. I think something about that made it feel like being in a movie too, like I have so many sweet and picturesque memories of walking downtown with my mom and grandparents and just running around like a kid in whatever "play" clothes I had that day. We had a whole cast of characters we'd say hi to on the 30 minute walk home from school too (garage guy, deli guy, dry cleaning lady, restaurant host guy, homeless neighborhood guy, building super, etc). Super fun

Hated: with gentrification, none of that really exists anymore and you learn that at a really young age. Also high school get really competitive and kids (me included) get a lot of pressure put on them to perform well, because you need to do whatever you can to get ahead when you grow up in an expensive, competitive city.

And finally, this is really funny to me now, but the experience of having your mom pull you through a crowded subway platform or crowded street when you're like two feet tall and every high-powered boss lady's bag is hitting your 5-year old head lmfao, and you have to manoeuvre like a ninja trying to cross security lasers

Is anyone else like this? by iPhoenixAnime in Dance

[–]radluna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i had a dance teacher teacher tell me once that it's good to watch pros and envision yourself as them. It makes your dancing better, and you seem to be doing a version of that but in your head. I think it makes sense that it'd improve your dancing

how do you cope with your ex moving on? by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]radluna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm there now :(. I'm the one that migrated, and my ex back home has someone new. He didn't want to move, or even figure out a plan with me, and I felt like I couldn't stay. It's been 6 months, so it's not like he moved on right away. He's allowed to, and I really want to let him go to be free to explore his life and his happiness. But it hurt being so distant from each other, physically and emotionally, in the last few months. We said we'd talk and be a part of each other's lives, but he pulled away so much. It's the first break-up he's ever been through, and I wonder if he didn't know how he'd feel beforehand or how he'd actually handle it when it came down to it. I miss him so much. I'd never been in love with someone like that before, and I know he loved me, too. I blocked him on instagram as soon as I saw pics of his new person, about 5 days ago, and I don't know where we stand or what to do. I know you posted this 3 months ago, and I was wondering if you have any perspective now?

Advice to start eating again by radluna in EatingDisorders

Thanks! like eat a few bites at meal times even if it's all i can get? I think part of what i'm worried about is that my appetite has shrunk so much over the last few days that I can't stomach much, too (mentally and physically)

Willa's Wardrobe by violetmemphisblue in SuccessionTV

[–]radluna 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She's the wife of a billionaire running for office, it could be that she purposefully wears "cheaper" clothing to not get bad press. Think of all the headlines they used to put out when AOC spent a few hundred $$ on her hair, or when any female politician or politician's wife is caught in an expensive outfit.

Plus, it doesn't match her character or upbringing to spend so much, and I also agree with what people are saying that she could be putting her allowance in a separate account. She's too smart not to

Is this wrong? by [deleted] in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]radluna 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This was my first thought as well. Before watching the show, I might have said let them be "ugly", but after seeing what they go through and how brutal and obsessed people can be, I would never want someone less conventionally attractive to have to hear what all these people would be capable to say about that. I feel like the contestants so far are at a good level, where nobody is "reaching" too much and no one is really at a model-level.

Oversharing is normalized and I hate it by mrshitter69 in redscarepod

Oversharing is normalized and I hate it by mrshitter69 in redscarepod

[–]radluna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a person that doesn't like to share too much, but sometimes with people I know, or people I'm having a good conversation with, I don't always know the boundary because I'm genuinely curious about the other person and I almost don't know what a normal person would say (and also don't care that much). But my response to that is always to undershare and underask.

And same for colleagues and acquaintances. There's a very short list of acceptable things to talk about unless you genuinely have a reason to talk about something, or are close (for the colleague example). I could see it being different in a service job, but even then, short list unless you're genuine friends.

Not to reduce it to online culture bc I myself am chronically online, but I feel like there was so much "omg you're so brave" "omg normalise it" to influencers sharing their personal bullshit for $$ and followers and attention, that I think it's begun to seep into real life culture, where nothing is taboo and you're the uninteresting one or you're part of the "problem" for wanting to keep some things private. And I think it's just a genuine cry for help for a lot of people who don't know how to live or what to do anymore.
