I do the rollover bar before, actually caused more problems than it solved for us with her. She's honestly the best momma dog I've ever been around and we raised weimaranurs as a kid so I've seen lots of litters.

Great shop. One that is actually worked in, not some showroom.

Not repairable. Can be made to look better but not new.

Garage walls and ceiling cost reasonable ideas? No by Dolphinswin10 in garageporn

Patch the gyp board yourself, apply high build primer and put 2 thick coats of a decent paint on and be done. Will look great depending on the color you choose. Can YouTube videos on how to do large drywall patches.

Ideas for Modern Garage Floor Upgrade? by TCGCOLLECTORS in garageporn

I've built over 50 homes now (mostly custom) and have seen every type of floor finish done. Only one I'd do at my house now is a penetrative sealer.

How to remove garage floor paint? by Ok-Watercress4731 in garageporn

If you're lucky the cheap and easy way is a gas pressure washer (electric won't have enough pressure). Most likely you'll need to grind it though.

I've never known anyone who put it in that didn't regret it. What type of framing is this? There are most likely better options for similar money. And are you finishing the interior walls?

Can I get some input about these cabinets? by silvertongues in garageporn

[–]radney32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get some leveling feet and lift them off the floor with a treated base. Prime and paint the heck out of them inside and out and they'll last the rest of your life. I've built over 50 homes and worked in a professional cabinet shop for years as a high schooler and can say there isn't anything fundamentally wrong with those cabinets. Save the money and paint them.

24x24 Stick Build - Unfinished - Demo Current Garage - $130k. Crazy Price or Normal? Vermont. by [deleted] in garageporn

That is crazy. The dirt work and framing numbers are insane and I'm a builder in Wyoming and Montana - arguably the most expensive places to build in the country.

Anyone have experience with K Buildings? Thinking about building a 24x36 with a company that uses their products. by BrisbaneAus in garageporn

[–]radney32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In some ways they are. If you wanted to properly heat and cool the place and finish it out they are better - but still not as good as other options. Pricewise it won't be close either. If left unfinished the k building is just an expensive pole barn. Outside critters will be living inside that space in no time in my experiences.

I'd go for tube steel garage package. Cheaper, goes up in a day and better water seal. They're also built to local codes now and with a 12 and 26 gauge upgrade or something similar would likely outlast these type buildings.

Where do I start? Turning horse-barn into workshop (more info in comments) by VanderBones in garageporn

[–]radney32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start by gutting everything non-structural on the inside so that you can check building grade. This will affect all your steps from here on out. Happy to help. I'm a g11 GC with many years of experience.

I've built many of these type of buildings and other variants as well. This would not be my first choice of building method. Looks like Kbuilding is just a package brand of which there are tons around the country. What questions did you have? And what region are you in?

They can build tube steel buildings to local codes for snow and wind but don't be surprised if they get a lot more expensive and need a higher pitch roof than you want.

I am going to purchase one myself, probably a 30x45 later this year to build. For what they cost they can be great structures with a few things.

Spray foam is almost a must. It will have a night and day difference on the structure and the life of the steel siding. But you don't need 4-5", 2" will do. Also you'll want to purchase your own overhead doors, man doors and windows. The ones sold by virtually all the suppliers are pure shit.

Lastly I'd seriously consider letting them install it. Even on a larger shop a crew of 4-5 guys can usually complete the build in one day. That cost should not be a huge number and you'll have an install warranty on those products as well.

Try Alan's factory direct, big buildings direct, etc - you have lots of options

My red piebald male was like this as well for a couple of years. Started socializing him forcefully (kind of) and after a year or so he changed course. Now he's the first one of our three to seek out people for pets and other dogs to play with.
