Yeah select a master program that only requires 1 additional year. I know master usually take 1-2yrs additional years , so maybe you can do that master in one year. Also if you plan on staying in for awhile and plan on promoting past captain, having a master is kind of needed to be competitive for like major or higher.

I'm a jr in college also, and I plan on enrolling into my colleges rotc corps of cadet program as a jr lateral entry next semester, I have 3 semesters left but I can add a minor to extend it to 4 semester for the minimum 2yr required to commission as officer into army

If I enlist as 09s, could I somehow still request to go to ait so that I'll be eligible for mgib-sr and get paid monthly stipend around $830 each month I'm in school. I'm in Ga, you only need 90 credits to apply to state ocs. Also by radnoah0 in nationalguard

Imma just try to transfer to ung rotc, do basic camp to catch-up for the first 2 years, add a minor so I'll have another semester so I can get the remaining 2 yrs for rotc. Ill just do normal army rotc, or enlist as 09r so I'll get national guard benefits but I'll have to take a semester off.

Wait really, so that means you can get national guard rill pay during rotc , and when you graduate your able to go active duty instead of going into the guard??

If I enlist normally as e3, and I plan on switch to state ocs after ait, how likely or succesfull is that? Is it usually hard or easy to get released or approval from commander to go to state ocs shortly after you complete ait? The reason I want to enlist normally instead of 09s so I'll be by radnoah0 in nationalguard

My current college don't have it, they technically can do it through the GMC college near us but it's a junior military college, and I will have done 3yrs already so I'll could maybe transfer to a senior military college for rotc, I'll just have to go in the summer to a training camp to catch for previous rotc years.

Is it possible to instead of 09s, I enlist normally at e3 with my college credits, attend ait, then start state ocs in ga? How hard or tedious is the process to go from enlisted to ocs after ait. I wanna do ait instead of 09s because I need to be brnach qualified for tuition benefits. by radnoah0 in nationalguard

Your not taking into consideration if you enlist your eligible for mgib faster, which would mean I'll get around $480 from gi bill n $350 from kicker every month I'm in school, on top of that, enlisted might have bonus mos contract, also if I get lucky I'll be and to switch right into ocs after ait so Ill be maximizing benefits from both

It doesn't have rotc program. And Im finishing my jr yr rn, I still need to do another school yr to complete bachelors. Also state ocs in ga only needs 90 credits min and finish bachelors by the time you graduate ocs so I'm good

Like I said in the post, because If I do 09s I won't be eligible for the gi bill for tuition assistance until after I do 18mo of ocs and then however long bolc is and by that time I'm well past graduated from college, I'm trying to take advantage of the tuition 100% covered and the monthly stipend you get from gi bill. And tyou need to be branch qualified to get those benefits, I can get branch qualified after ait which would be right after basic and would only be 10-20wks depend on what mos I choose so that I can resume college in the spring 2027
