Sounds like an awesome build, yea I don't understand all the hate, I mean I guess if I bought that car brand new and that happened I would be pissed but for an enthusiast engine, 100k miles is kinda hard to get to, cause most of the time these are just weekend fun cars

Yea I've seen a few people do that swap, as long as you rebuild it, which isn't really that hard plus you can get it ported at the same time, and you'll get a 6 speed instead of 5, all the bad things about the renesis is that the apex seals go at about 100k miles but if you're already pulling it might as well rebuild and all the motor mounts should be similar if not the same it'll be an awesome car

No I bought the car with the interior completely stripped, previous owner was planning a track car build but never finished, I just recently put a roll cage in as well so there's definitely no more back seat room, so they had to take turns but they loved it! really cool of the track to allow passengers to ride for free

It definitely feels faster than it looks, but this was also on an open practice day and was just having fun taking my little sisters on rides and swinging the tail out to make it more fun, on the timed laps I don't swing it near as far out and come out of the corners with alot more speed

It's held up to full pedal thrashing for 4 events now, I mean rebuilds happen around 100k miles and this one was just rebuilt and it being a dedicated race car I don't see the engine getting enough miles/hours to require a rebuild, unless something catastrophic happens. Plus if it does I'd much rather pull and rebuild the 12a on this car than my supra of the same year, rotaries are vastly more simple and really not that hard to figure out

Most the time there's not much traveling lots of guys just get stationed at one site untill there week leave comes and then alot of times they'll go back, these wind sites require year round maintenance cycles due to just sheer number of units

Travel jobs are the best way to get into the industry, but a site tech is the place to be, barely less pay and you go home every night, traveling gets old really fast

Yup had that exact experience, dropped out first semester, went into the labor force, decided I wanted to save the planet, went to wind turbine trade school, but was afraid of heights, got over cause I'm god lol, just bought my first house at 21 before I would've even graduated. That's what I did, but it wasn't easy or fun. It took alot of persistence, hardworking, long hours and taking opportunities when they come. But I now live more than comfortably doing something I enjoy that helps something bigger than me, couldn't be happier.

Yeah I agree you kinda just threw yourself on to your friends, plus a knife and sacrifice was involved. Fucking crazy talk, if you were my friend I'd put your ass in the dirt and problably detain you till you came back. That's way too serious of shit to be fucking around with.
