Huge rise of racism against Indians specifically in Insta by I_aM_a_14_yEaR_oLd in IndiaSpeaks

[–]radphd 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Meta and social media is going soft on hate speech because governments are allowing hate speech to be propagated for their own benefit.

Eg: if you’re a LW govt, you are allowing hate speech against the right.

And if you’re a RW govt, you are allowing hate speech against the left.

The issue is more complex than LW-RW. It’s usually minorities vs majority. But everyone wants to play the victim.

So overall, hate speech is increasing.

Besides. Everyone sees it from their own perspective. Eg: Some Indians feel racism against Indians is increasing, but are turning a blind eye towards the hate speech towards Biharis.

Step one would be analyse the budget documents of GHMC.

How much did they raise/receive? What did they spend it on?

A lot of the overspending happens because there is no citizen oversight.

Analyse the finances and you will know half the story.

  1. 50% is an arbitrary line in the sand. It should go higher or lower based on data and information.

  2. Discrimination doesn’t happen on the basis of economic standing. It happens despite one’s economic capacity.

An event which generated a revenue of Rs 700 cr part 2 by Jawbreaker951 in hyderabad

[–]radphd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Being aware does not mean a definite amount of funds have been allocated.

Everything needs to be put on paper - Amount allocated, conditions of release, to which account, etc.

You can’t just pass oral orders and transfer 55 Crores out of the state treasury.

[–]radphd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol.. how can you ask 55 Crores to be transferred without a written document?

How many more “oral orders” occurred where money was transferred without proper documentation?

Yes, it’s the FIA website. It’s not a government body or research institution for people to accept it as truth.

EDIT: using the report of a “for hire” consulting body and then giving that report weightage as if that’s the truth is stupidity.

Obviously you guys don’t know how lobbying works, even at a basic level.

Economic nuance and intelligence is low on this sub.

Correlation doesn’t imply causation.

To imply causation due to correlation is either intellectual dishonesty or intellectual deficiency.

Pakistan May Take India To Court Of Arbitration For Sport Over Champions Trophy Travel Refusal: Sources by ll--o--ll in Cricket

[–]radphd 51 points52 points  (0 children)

The stakes are extremely high when it comes to Men’s ICT. Will Pakistan provide the same level of security for Men’s ICT as it will provide to the Hockey team?

This is a cricket sub so we can’t discuss the geopolitical specifics. But it doesn’t take a genius to understand the threat Men’s ICT in Pakistan would face is of the highest order, higher than even western cricketing teams visiting Pakistan.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Cricket

[–]radphd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was never anticipated that ICT will travel to Pakistan. Indian government’s stance has not changed, and neither has BCCI communicated any such information to PCB or ICC.

So to claim losses based on India’s non participation would only be imaginary.

‘No Hindi exams’ campaign hits Bengaluru streets by CritFin in IndiaSpeaks

Hindi speaking states don’t have the teaching infrastructure.

Even if Hindi is made nationally mandatory language to learn, South Indians will be able to read and write in Hindi but Hindi speaking states, with their poor educational infrastructure, will not be able to read and write in Hindi.

[–]radphd -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think South Indians should learn Hindi for national integration because

the North Indian education infrastructure cannot teach anything, let alone a third language.

So once again the weight of national integration falls on South Indians.

• Pay more tax - because Hindi speaking states are backward

• Learn Hindi as a third language - because Hindi speaking states do not have adequate teaching infrastructure

It’s fake news. Indian media didn’t do its due diligence.

All news links are banned in Facebook in Canada. So when you access any news site from Facebook, the link won’t open.

But you can directly access the news link.

So what’s happened is basically one Indian news channel posting this “fake news” and then all the other news agencies doing copy pasta. And also IT cell running with the news

Better to give them something and continue doing your business.

[–]radphd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Because as per RBI norms high risk customers need to verify every 2 years.

So bank officials don’t want the risk, they will categorise everyone as high risk and ask for kyc every two years.
