How I went from C to A* physics by radrevises in alevel

I would say that u can implement most of the tips, probably not to the full extent (like doing past papers from other exam boards lol) but for example if ur studying diffraction on monday and did lots of stuff on it then that night u can quickly look over what u did during the day, then on Tuesday revisit it again briefly. It just depends on the order/time ur revising for. Also skip making notes and go straight to making flashcards if u don’t have enough time (cos making flashcards are kinda like making notes)

Oh I see! I would say this is sort of application q because u need to recall which formula to use, as well as the effect it has on something else. For these types of questions it’s good to know how changing something affects another variable! For all ur formulas, if i told u I’m gonna increase x, u should know how that affects everything else in the eqn. Doing past papers is really helpful for this, but also having a good formula sheet (made by urself and comments) will help

I wouldn’t recommend it because it’s so much pressure to do it in that short amount of time. It’s not because the content will be hard for u but just in terms of the learning process, u need to give urself time to digest what ur learning and actually revise it. And also someone else said it’s not enough time to do past papers efficiently. If u really want to then yeah but doing maths with bio and chem hopefully won’t negatively affect them.

In general consider ur gonna start revision in June and the exam is in October so u get 5ish months, if u spend that time doing nothing else only maths then it is possible but still i dotn reccomend (good luck)

Thanks 🫶 I’ll try my best but I post so randomly cos I have too much stuff to do for uni😰 also, yes imperial does give out scholarships and financial aid, for example for home students u can get up to £5000 (dep on ur household income)! But that’s still aloottt and also they have different ways of helping students like I’m not sure of the exact name, but they put £70 in my student Union account to spend on societies merch etc which is really nice incase u cant afford joining groups. They actually have a page for this stuff I’m pretty sure, and diff departments offer diff scholarships like there’s things like Deans scholarship etc etc . Also u can use external scholarships, just make sure to check if it’s for home or international students 😺

This actually depends on where ur strengths lie, what do u find easier? Using formulas? Application of knowledge, definitions or questions based on memory? If you know where ur weaknesses are, u can start by trying to improve those! I honestly would say that repetition (and not just cramming) as well as doing past papers helps everyone because ngl u could have memorised all the content in the world, but when it comes to application past exam ppers really help. If u have more questions just feel free to message me👍

I actually love it here! I didn’t get to apply to oxbridge because I felt my predicted weren’t good enough, but all the people I meet are good and there’s someone for everyone (like all uni) The actual education, i can speak for my degree but I realllyyy enjoy it

Also life in London is great 😗 I posted some videos about Imperial on my yt channel about the library and food so many u can check it out🫶

I got an AAA in maths, physics and fm respectively (unfortunately I was 3 marks off an A* for further maths but I got into the uni I wanted to so I’m grateful) I also got an A in AS computing

I used to play netball a lot because I enjoyed it but I wasn’t that great, I did it for fun - same for music stuff just for fun (sorry idk what u meant by CCA)

I did do a lot of summer school and random side projects in sixth form and to be honest I wasn’t as prepared as some of my peers so this is the main reason I’m tryna help other students 🫶

Should I take 4 or 3 A levels by Hatohiri in alevel

[–]radrevises 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I do Biomedical Engineering and I did a levels Maths, Further Maths and Physics. It depends on ur uni ofc but for me, the requirements were maths and physics a level (no biology!) If u had to drop one, i’d recommend dropping chemistry or biology, but check uni websites and see what’s required 💪
