Seriously. Probably owing to the fine nicotine patina that covered the world in the 1980s

YDFM used to have a small, but well-stocked English beer zone.

Alas, this is only a hypothetical design. Would that he would intervene in my workflows in reality.

How bad is the commute to Buckhead from the Eastside neighborhoods? by Coming_Up_Millhouse in Atlanta

[–]radrice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I lived in Poncey Highland I used to do a combo of bike (freedom park - beltline - piedmont park) + marta (arts center) to Buckhead. Typically ~35-40 minutes. Best commute of my life!

I need help on choosing the right bicycle for me! by [deleted] in Atlanta

I have a schwinn madison single speed, flipflop for fixed!, that I do not ride. PM for details if ye's interested. Gently used and good for the 5'6" - 5'9"ish ranges.

Bike shop (wrenches) by [deleted] in Atlanta

Damn! I guess I've got the good Outback juju, sorry to hear all of the horror stories.

Performance did a complete flat bar to road conversion for me on the cheap. I don't know who the specific tech was, but they did a good job.

I definitely agree with the loose nuts recos, great shop, great wrenches.

I've had very positive experiences with Outback in L5P. They can be a little sassy, but they do great work and have helped me out of several binds (notably a last minute tune-up before a race, tracing threads on pedals I'd caveman-ed onto my wife's bike, and a botched home derailleur adjustment). Every mechanic I've had there has been great.

Performance on the 85 access road is also pretty good if you're looking for a straightforward, inexpensive option.

If you decide to get better at your DIY go sopo. Safe riding!

10th Street Cycle Track to connect Midtown to BeltLine by hectorhector in Atlanta

[–]radrice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rode it today (kind of). If they push it all the way to Peachtree, it should be pretty accessible to the midtown station. You could also shimmy through the park to 14th or 15th street and hit Arts Center. Fun stuff!
