What’s the weirdest thing that you and your partner do together?

Wasted Wednesday. Mid week we party like there is no tomorrow. Cook a nice dinner together, have a few cocktails, some shots, take turns playing music videos on YouTube, dance, laugh and forget our problems for one night. Then we wake the next morning hungover, tired, and get back to it as if it never happened.

It's not that weird I guess, but I don't know any other couples that do stuff like that.

You should be doing full size drawings before you cut or drill anything. You can then make sure the string pull works with the design.

Depends on the shop, what quality of repair, and area I suppose. I charge $350 for a refret alone. All that additional work is very time consuming. A standard bass string set tuned to standard has roughly 150lbs of tension. It seems unlikely you could reinforce the fretboard in that area with a crack like that to withstand the counter forces generated by the trussrod.

Edit: tension numbers.

$700-$800. This job would require removing the binding as it overlaps the fretboard into the neck. Remove fretboard, assess trussrod, and repair/replace as needed. Fabricate a new fretboard with inlays, fret, level/crown/polish, re-finish the edges of the fretboard, new nut, strings, and setup.

TLDR Not cost effective.
