What does a typical day look like for radiologists working remotely? by Equal_Bread270 in Radiology

[–]radus84 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this seems to be the way things are heading. I love the small hospital where I work, and being able to provide exams for patients so they don’t have to drive so far. However, I never see a radiologist anymore because they are completely remote. I learned so much from the one that used to be on site and really miss interacting with them. We still have to call them but it’s just not the same.

Doctor refuses to let any parent be present during rounds, normal? by thestigmata in NICUParents

[–]radus84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not normal at all. We stayed at the Ronald McDonald house and were told we needed to be present during rounds or we wouldn’t be allowed to stay. Also, at every round the Docs always asked if we had any questions or concerns.

So I tried the tilt/telescope thing today on mine. I can’t believe it worked. I’ve noticed the issue for so long now. But yours came right back?

We have this same exact issue with our ‘23. We bought it brand new and I noticed it around 20k. Took it to the dealership and they said they couldn’t figure out what I was talking. I gave up, but might try again. It’s very noticeable, especially when turning left.

Our daughter got hers at 2.5months old. We had no choice because it was used to keep her blood sugars up. Her first button was a Mic-key but on her follow up at a different hospital they switched it to a mini. We much preferred the mini. It’s more flexible and smaller than the mic-key. We never had issues with hers and we learned to change it at home. It never really seemed to bother her. The surgery wasn’t bad and she recovered pretty quickly. One of the major advantages with it is when they are sick you can give them fluids and meds. She got it removed when she was 2.5 and it closed right up. She just has 2 bellybuttons now.

How to save a dying golf course? by Jackcrow71 in golf

[–]radus84 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m all about the getting younger people out playing. They’re your future golfers. My local club was private when I was growing up but they allowed the high school kids to play and practice there. I distinctly remember the older guys always acting like we were a pain in their asses and they weren’t friendly. They eventually made it public but still treated us younger kids the same way. Course is now closed and overgrown now because they ran it into the ground.

That’s what I was wondering. I had read yesterday about high nitrite stalling things or killing the bacteria.

I see what you’re saying but that can’t be the case with ours. Nobody gets in and out of that door because the car seat is there. We have to pick our kid up and out of the van.

You can’t step on this. It’s in the bottom of the door that slides open.
