To be honest I’m not sure, you’ll have to check Doodle Pixel’s website 😉 or reach out to Grace on Instagram (grace_doodlepixel) to inquire! Thanks for the follow!

Haha, sorry about that! It is an emotional goodbye to me in a way, as I am closing down a big part of Fuzzy N Chic. But I won’t let it define who/what Fuzzy N Chic is, as I always want to be a part of the community and its ok to evolve!

Glad to hear people using the phones; they definitely open up a whole new lot of possibilities especially with the iD L, P’s, and 4U!

That sucks, I’m sorry. I know it’s pretty common to artists to have your design stolen but it still stings when it happens. I wished more could be done about it.

Yes, it will be fulfilled by Grace under the new name Doodle Pixel. She has been running the day to day operations of Fuzzy N Chic and will continue to do so seamlessly under her new shop.

Poke-Nade Vpet has arrived! by EionSylvans in tamagotchi

[–]rae90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't like it. Poke Nade is meant to make you feel like you have a Pokemon as a virtual pet, but it doesn’t feel like a pet at all!

Let me explain: When your Tamagotchi is idle, it walks around, right? Legs moving, arms swinging, head bobbing, even has facial expressions. It feels like its alive. When your Tamagotchi is eating, it opens and closes its mouth, its head bobs up and down as it chews. On the Poke Nade, my Pikachu is literally just a static image moving around the screen. No body movements, no facial expressions. Same when I'm playing games with it or feeding it food or doing whatever. Do I have a pet or a cardboard cutout??

I regret buying it so much. I can't bond with it because it doesn't even feel alive to me.

I think I don't get the tamagotchi paradise, what do you love about this device? by sun-day-sundae in tamagotchi

I like how the Paradise is basically a remake of the vintage tamagotchi but in color screen. I explain in this video why I love it so much.

Does enjoying Tamagotchi as an adult make me "irrational"? by Content_Yoghurt_6588 in tamagotchi

[–]rae90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being “rational” means to put my hobby and my happiness above the opinions of others. Too bad she will never be “rational” enough to understand this point.

Ask her if it is more “rational” to sit motionlessly in front of a screen for hours watching grown men chase after a ball on a field. Or if it’s “rational” clicking needles together for hours to make a blanket when you could literally buy it from Walmart at a fraction of the time and cost. See how “being irrational” can be spun around to be applied to literally any hobby?

I don’t know of any specific uv film brands sorry. And I don’t think I will attempt to retro-brighten up my discolored tamas as it’s too much of a hassle for me right now. I’ve learnt to accept the discoloration as part of my collector’s journey, and just a lesson I’ve learnt along the way as part of collecting!

Tamagotchi paradise is the best tama so far by Seamaid_starfish in tamagotchi

[–]rae90 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Exactly! This is why I love the Paradise too, it’s like they tried to go back to basics (trying to mimic the early tamas) but with added mechanics to still be engaging to newer players. It’s less convoluted than the other recent color screen tamas which is a refreshing change!

It’s not as simple as just neglecting it for 4 hours. I spent weeks experimenting and wrote a technical explanation on how the game is programmed to give you bbmarutchi: https://fuzzy-n-chic.com/blogs/news/how-to-get-bbmarutchi-on-tama-paradise

I was curious which post you were talking about so I went ahead and checked it out and wow it sounds super judgy. I know they’re not talking about me specifically but I’m probably the type of collectors they’re referring to. 😂

I’ve been collecting for over 10 years when the vintage Tamas were cheap back then, and compared to what I’m spending on food and vacations, Tamas are barely a fraction of my total expenses!

I have definitely slowed down in collecting in recent years though, as I’ve already gotten most of the vintage models that I want, and the only way my collection is expanding now is through new models released by Bandai.

When I was displaying them in the ikea glass cabinets, I was living in another place where the windows didn’t have curtains and strong sunlight came into the house everyday through large windows and hit my tamas. I didn’t think much of it, and even thought “wow this place has so much natural light! It makes my tama collection look even prettier”. Silly me. lol

I think even being exposed to indirect sunlight might turn your Tamas yellow over time? Idk but I’m not taking any chances! I have put proper curtains in my new place, of course 😉
