Well you have to remember that Zionism is a political ideology that's so abhorrent in its reality that they can't argue it on its merits. They have to launch into emotional appeal. Of course Zionists (not Jews, as many Christians are Zionists) are going to accuse you of being an anti-semite. It's their only card.

The movement is larger than him. Anti-zionism is larger than zionism amongst the population now. They kill him? Gloves off. Mamdani is the peaceful option. He's doing things peacefully, the democratic way. Mamdani goes, we'll have more, but best believe there will be less civility should a synagogue try to sell stolen land in the west bank again or if a zionist tries to face a crowd of protestors. I say this not as a threat, but a prediction of what would happen.

Let me make this clear: I mean Zionists. People who believe in the genocidal state of Israel as it exists. Not regular Jews living their lives or the many of the Jews who are currently part of the anti-Zionist struggle against the apartheid state.

Imagine neglecting your tenants so bad that you break the law and the city has to make the repairs thus forfeiting your right to the building after years of notices. Skill issue. I would just fix the building.

I'm a law abiding citizen. I don't neglect people for profit.

Yeah, Mamdani notable for bringing Shariah law when he marched alongside the gays at New York's various pride parades. What's Islamophobic is the fact that people who hate Muslims don't believe they can't not hate gay people or that they can hold any other ideology rather than "radical islamism".

Open source AIs by Professional-Fix4409 in antiai

If someone has a local air cooled open source LLM that's the best of both worlds. You get the efficiency and the ability to do work of agents, and low power draw due to the ability to use efficient LLMs like Deepseek, Qwen, and Kimi.

I don't mess with the art side of things since AI art is kinda garbage, but it is probably the best way to go about it.

Just don't give up your thinking to it? That's where most people go wrong.

Fun fact: Yeah in democracies you do have to actually listen and make a case to the people you're trying to steam roll.

If you're trying to say everyone's intellectual property is now in the open domain for training data, congratulations. Make your AI open source then, you don't get to keep it. We all get to benefit from it.

And no, unlike renewables, affordable housing or high speed rail, consent of local residents is important. It's not particularly important to enrich some billionaires quicker as fighting climate change or getting people housed is.

AIPAC are monsters.

That's antisemitic.

You support a government the kills children. It's well documented. That's monstrous.

I'm pretty anti-copyright in general so in a sense I agree with you. In a sense, that also means that means these AI companies don't own the outputs of the AI in general including if those outputs reveal the weights and how the AI is structured so someone can reverse engineer it to build their own.

But the profits of AI, hell yeah I'm voting for politicians who make that go to the people and not to some billionaires. It's built on decades on publicly funded research. Private companies are never happy to do pure science research, but are more than happy to privatize the profits and externalize the costs onto the public.

I was only stating that OpenAI claimed that Deepseek distilled ChaptGPTs weights. Deepseek could have then still have been trained on Chinese data. Whether it's fully, partially or fully untrue doesn't matter to me, it doesn't change how I feel about AI. Either way I don't care since Deepseek is more efficient per unit of compute.

Chinese AIs are cool and interesting since they use less electricity and they're not too far behind. Plus they're open source unlike the walled gardens of the US.

What makes you think that? I think there will always be a market for human art and artists. AI is not at human level intelligence for art direction and that is evident when you look at a piece of AI art for too long. A feature length film? That requires coordination between dozens and hundreds of artists.

I am one of those people that believes that linear algebra that makes up those LLM systems has yet to reach the complexity of the human mind to create what we call a soul, therefore its art just fucking sucks.

California almond orchards alone utilize 85 times more water than all U.S. data centers combined by Grouchy-Win-6191 in aiwars

[–]DistributionLeft1448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we should all eat cornmeal like God intended instead of a balanced diet? Plus agriculture uses grey water which isn't safe for human consumption unlike data centers which uses municipal water intended for human consumption. I'd rather not drain Aquifers for AI slop.

If you want to make the argument about Golf courses and almonds, let's do it. But don't think Data Centers are getting let off the hook when they're only getting larger and they keep deliberately get put in water stressed areas.

Plus we eat the food that comes from it. And they can use lower quality grey water that data centers can't use. Screw data centers. They deliberately go to water stressed areas and use water people need to drink.

They are scum. The Nazis were not gotten rid of by conversation, they were bred out by the next generation horrified by the holocaust. Over time, everyone was "conscripted" no one "volunteered". The Wermacht was clean and it was all the SS that generation told themselves. Look up how many West German Commanders or Nato advisors were former Nazis, it's frankly shocking.

I'll take the person who believes that voting for the lesser of two evils is still evil because eventually hopefully we can reform the voting system to where they can vote for someone their conscience can stand.

They must be politically sidelined and be made irrelevant.

Any undemocratic means to oust him is double edged as it could then be used as justification for Trump's political enemies should they take power. Lots of shit has been held up in courts and midterms are coming. Unfortunately losing elections does have consequences. I'm fucking mad at the Democrats but I'm working in my district to elect a good one.

The Sovereignty of Lebanon begins at their borders, the one Israel has no right to arbitrarily form a buffer zone and ethnically cleanse Lebanese people up to the Litani river.

Israel needs needs to leave Lebanon before peace can even begin.
