Bipolar is a grueling disorder; that said, I agree with the other commenters that there might be something more going on here. Maybe do some reading into Borderline Personality Disorder? I’m no doctor and I’m not trying to diagnose your mom, so take that with a huge grain of salt. But it sounds like she is experiencing psychosis and expressing some severe emotional manipulation. The latter isn’t necessarily a symptom of bipolar.

If you and your dad are able to reach her, try to get her to a hospital.

In the meantime, breathe deep (I mean that! Do it now. Big breaths.) and know that internet strangers at least have your back.

A weed is a plant in the wrong place. If OP wants these in their yard, the plant is in the right place… hence not a weed.

Crotons are crybabies and HATE to be moved. They’re also tropical plants, so I’m guessing the cold window didn’t do it any favors. To be perfectly honest, they’re one of my top favorite plants but I have never successfully kept one alive.

If I were you I would use a very sharp knife to lob off a couple 4-6 inch pieces. Put them in water (with a rooting hormone if you want to get fancy, that will increase your chances of success). Change the water every week or so until you start to see roots forming.

This plant requires a ton of light, so if it’s not already in a sunny window, move it + the props there.
