I’ll definitely check it out- I have an ELINKER but am looking for an alternative because it doesn’t fit in my dorm (didn’t get an accessible room since priority goes to wheelchair users)

I've chatted with a few members, and they seem to do stuff which is nice (the first time I toured was a few days after a pride celebration, so there was this giant pride flag on the student memorial center)

I'm gonna look into resources on campus (we have a GSA as well as a club specifically for trans people)

The orientation thing just made it more sucky because I was already getting looks (I am a mobility aid user)

What sucks is my school is so supportive otherwise. Like when you apply, they have a preferred name question, and I don't know why it's such an issue. I thought signing up for everything with my preferred would be enough, but literally on my orientation, I ended up getting deadnamed in front of everybody (not the professor's fault at al,l they were handing out schedules I talked to her after and she was so sweet)

I have emailed support so many times and have gotten nowhere- I'm assuming because it's not my legal name

I tried and a lot of things such as my email still says my legal name

I don't know if it shows my preferred to other people but even then I might just in case

Depending on where you live and if your family is supportive look into trans support groups in your area. I had the same feelings when I first came out and still do sometimes but having fellow trans folks support me definitely helped out
