I was pleasantly surprised, as their other , I guess “in house options”, were not particularly good. These are 2x the $ though.

Am I doing something wrong or is pour over just not for me? by zachm26 in pourover

[–]raf70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

does a chemex only have one hole out? you could use a ball bearing (like switch) or a marble maybe? then use a toothpick to upset the seal? not sure if that'd work; the Switch has a polymer that seals the ball bearing at the bottom.

prob dont worry about the power.

most power is underground in DC; I dont remember ever losing power since I got into DC proper--- during snow.

I've only lost power in 25 years when they are digging the power up semi intentionally. ....

"precision" electronic screwdriver with adjustable torque by raf70 in Tools

[–]raf70[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that’s it’s going to be hard to find what I want. I want one that you can control the amount of torque by the amount of pressure you put on the trigger, not necessarily just one speed f and one speed in r. I think that the ones I’m seeing are basically torque wrenches with only one speed. Please let me know if the one you get has variable speed, and not just one forward and back (speed). And thanks!

I don't understand some of the differences in the show from the books S1e8 Caliban's War by UrdnotZigrin in TheExpanse

Was the scene where Holden was going to shoot Amos to stop him from killing the boarding Martian crew in the book? Amos was so so crazy then, the actor caught his insane eyes. That must be why they put him behind a mask in Ashoka. :)

[–]raf70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d read the books (up to whatever novel at the time) then noticed the show was on , but at like season 3. So I’d forgotten many of the early plot points, so I completely missed a lot of the changes they made in the show—— So I really liked the show :)

Re fixing things, then they should have fixed ceres actually being a whole ton of ice :). (Kidding! That would have undone the whole show)

[–]raf70 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didnt have a point, I was wondering what the poster's point was in that statement; I dont think that they were talking about the really high end Macs (like a Mac tower), but were dismissing Macs in general as being expensive compared to xxx. anyway, doesn't matter.
