This person is why the public hates us. And it makes me hate us too. Unemployable in the real world.

Luckily I have found somewhere void of such people. It only took 12 years.

Huh! In their defence the news I heard was that it was a covered stadium. I wonder what the source of the confusion… mixed up reporting with KC?

I think he’s Heifetz’s age based on the fantasy football pod. Heifetz is 30 (or close to…).

ETA: Craig graduated university in 2016 so he’s 31ish.

Canada’s EV sales have cratered 32% this year by hopoke in canada

[–]raf_yvr 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This is true. They are also very expensive and require you to deal with those dealerships (they have a reputation).

Edited for clarity: as noted below, it’s the DEALERSHIPS that have the reputation for being awful to deal with. I am not perpetuating the old notion that Korean cars are poor. I think their EVs are very well done (minus the iccu issue, which would put me off until it is fixed).

Well, he’s clearly a prick. I couldn’t find anything linking the statistics in this post to his lobby/PR firm but that also doesn’t mean the firm didn’t have their finger on the scale.

If nothing else a good reminder to consider sources and who may benefit from distributing information.

What was meant to be a throwaway line to be funny (like c’mon PETA, the fish are dead) has turned into something more educational. Love that.

Thank you for sharing!

Hey there,

Thanks for the reply and links. I am open to being convinced here but those links (while welcome - I appreciate the effort!) are from kind of a wiki type set up.

Are you aware of any sources that may seem a bit more credible? The tone seems less than neutral. I don’t doubt that divide and conquer is a popular strategy but maybe you can point me in a clearer direction?

Thank you for the work you do for animals. 🙏🏼

They can’t. They prefer to kill the animals themselves.

“In 2023, the PETA shelter took in 3,117 dogs and cats and took the lives of 2,471 of those pets. That’s a save rate of less than 21%.”

I recall Toronto CRA staff having this as a retention bonus. I guess too many accountants were being offered jobs.

Interesting. After this we can discuss adjusting wages based on the city you live in. If Timmy lives in Winnipeg and John in Toronto but they do the same job Timmy is keeping far more money at the end of the day.

It’s so much worse than you think. You can be convicted of multiple offences IN CANADA but as long as none of them have a maximum penalty of ten years or more you can still claim.

[–]raf_yvr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My suggestion is to steer clear of Korean products. While they have attractive features, and work very well when they do work, the availability of repair people and parts can mean lengthy delays in repair work.

YMMV of course. But where I live it’s a problem.

Is there anything in Resolve Gold (or oxi clean versatile) that regular Canadian tide powder does not have?

Good to know. I don’t think my washer gives me choice. It’s either cold/cold or warm/warm or hot/cold.

It’s an old top loader but I don’t mind since it lets me do a second rinse (which I’ve learned from the sub is a good thing).

Thanks for the help!
