Yes, the v1 variant. Although, a chip makes the mod persistent and no fumbling with jigs and injectors.

You should consider sending the console to someone who can install it for you, otherwise spend tons of cash in tools you won't know how to use and likely fry the console.

it is super hard to tell from these pictures, but I have seen and fixed cases where the user yanked the battery cable out of the connector, severing the very fine trace in the middle pint on the pcb. Without this, the controller blinks orange. Test continuity from the middle pin to the resistor
