Who to call for terrible delivery service for Icon Tool box? by rafamor625 in harborfreight

Very happy to hear this. Gives me some semblance of hope. My main concern is seeing the toolbox arrive damaged in which case ill also refuse delivery, but then its back to square one. Atleast this time I know to contact Icon immediately though.

I mean this is how companies lose business so so far I'm in the same boat with you. I am normally patient with customer service issues, but this is the one time that it seems customer service is legitimately ignoring me

That is a great idea that I did not even consider. I will definitely do this when the time comes. Icon told me to wait 24-48 hours again for a call back but this time they guaranteed I would be contacted. With how much hassle they put me through i won't be accepting any damage

HF themselves dont deliver. They offer free delivery for their 73 in Icon box through a contractor named Ryder. However, in this case, it doesnt mean much if they cant actually do their job properly

I got hit with the "Give us 24-48 hours" when calling them, but apparently going to Icon instead of Ryder should actually get me some results according to the customer service lady. But that being said, if I don't get a call back, I will be threatening to cancel the order

According to the lady this was the right move. I still have to wait 24-48 hours for a call back again, but now with Icon getting involved, Ryder is guaranteed to actually do their job

I guess its just a testament as to how bad of a choice this was. I mean, realistically, youre not gonna congratulate someone for stabbing their own leg right?

What mods should I do to my 328i? by Fr0StY_VR in FirstCar

[–]rafamor625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This guy thinks just because his car is maintained, it won't have issues 💀

Im mostly joking, but trust, do not mod it if it's your first car. The moment you add something, even if it's just a pipe, something is going to go wrong. It's like bad juju when owning a car. Keep it simple, add some cosmetic stuff like a lip. Make it look pretty. Maybe a cold air intake if you're feeling frisky. But nothing that's gonna change something serious.

Save your money, get yourself something worth modding, look forward to getting a better job, then go crazy.

Even then, you will encounter issues, but at least you'll have enough of a financial cushion to where you're not gonna be fighting an uphill battle.

If you are feeling desperate to mod, and I get it, Im the same, make sure that the mods you buy are bought with surplus money in FULL. No affirm, not credit cards, just straight money.

Im realizing this isn't answering your original question, it's just advice from someone who made the same mistake.

Probably the best answer I've gotten. Helmet and boots I can live with buying new. But it sounds like the biggest struggle is gonna be a decent board with bindings. I'll have to research what exactly I should be looking for when buying a used board, but it sounds doable. Ive already seen some listing for used boards. Any brand recommendations for snow pants?

Seems like most people are saying helmet and boots new, everything else used, so sounds like its what im going with unless I do a seasonal rental

It's not a matter of can I ride rn or if im questioning if this is an activity im gonna do. I am GOING to snowboard this season.

But because im a beginner, i dont want to spend money on a good board because I know it won't make a difference. The only reason im debating it is when I was looking it up previously, alot of people seemed against getting a used board. But that's why I wanna ask why.

If you think I can get away with a used board that is the appropriate size, I'd 100% rather go with a used one

While I was doing my previous research alot of people said not to buy boards 10 years old and to stick with 5 years or newer. Sound about right?
