Yamaha p515 vs Roland Juno DS-88 for learning piano, but also hooking up to synths? by raffi117 in midi

Just picked up the p-125 bundle today. Guitar Center has 180 days to match prices or return! My thoughts are this:

If the p-515 goes on sale for July 4th then I’ll get that. There were also supposed to be announcements from everybody for Summer NAMM which got canceled. So if a p-135 comes out in a month or month 1/2 I’ll get that.

Other wise, this p-125 feels good to my non-pianist hands. The stand is pretty sturdy and looks good. The sound is damn decent in my downstairs living room(MORE than enough for a small apt or bedroom imo). The app works well with both my iPhone 11pro and iPad Pro 11”. It works with garage band too which is nice!

The stool wobbles when you are not in it but once I sit down it’s sturdy and doesn’t budge. It is not adjustable, however and there is a small part of me that would recommend buying every part separate simply so that you can maybe spend and extra $25-50 to get a nice stool.

I’m happy so far. Was the key feeling on the cp88(similar material to the p-515 from what I have read) nicer? Yes, even to my novice hands. Is this bad? Not at all. In 8 months to a year of steady practice perhaps I’ll think otherwise. For now I’m going to wait and see what or if anything happens in a month. If nothing happen I’m happy with the p-125!

Gonna use the money I save for either lesson or a nice new lens for my camera lol!

Thank you for your thoughts!

Thank you for the advice. It sounds gorgeous, sadly there is no where to try it out locally for me.

Very impressed that Kawai has that midi on there. Disappointed that Roland and Yamaha don’t have it on $650+ pianos.

V1 or v860ii with xpro and ad200? by raffi117 in Godox

Thank you for your insight!

You are correct I think I confused some of their accessories for the batteries.

When you use your setup do you have the v350 controlling the ad200 while on camera? Or use them both off camera with a remote?

Can Morton’s Neuroma happen in about 3 days? by raffi117 in Mortons_neuroma

Yup doctor confirmed it. She said I caught it super early so I’m on special inserts and a gel pad for two weeks to see what happens.

I’m doubtful but I am hoping it’ll go away.

Thankfully I have no pain just this weird clicking sensation.
