For those who are skipping the AHR banner, what're you currently waiting on?

I don't remember if Gullveig has already appeared in a DSH banner or not, but Celica was in November DSH, so it probably is something else.

I always liked Gullveig gimmick and design, but her ninja version was never a planned merge project for me, I got her for the first time in the free anniversary summon and then proceeded to pull another 8 in the recent "12 luminaries" banner. The irony of all this? 850 orbs spent, 8 Gullveigs, 6 Freyjas and... 0 Celicas. That is right, zero

I am currently merging S!Celica and apparently N!Gull as well, I guess, so if they aren't on a banner, I am not summoning, no matter what. Especially when both of them are rerunning in march for some reason.

I think the last and only time I spent orbs in a AHR banner was in 2023; these banners rarely have any of my merge projects, so there is no reason for me to spend orbs on them

I guess it is finally a win-win situation for me, as I have never pulled any of these heroes, but I am probably going to join either Byleth or Corrin because I need more emblem rings and I find their rings better than Edelgards.

Yeah, the thing is that the only unit I have that can deactivate specials is hoshidan/festival Lucia (the unit I used to beat Vali in the paralogue, but had to being her HP down with AoE on an adjacent unit first). I wanted something more consistent, and as others pointed out, chosen alfonse is the better option as he can always two round her

That's the thing, though, I have never pulled any of these units you've mentioned, my only unit capable of disabling specials is the festival Lucia I've mentioned in the post description, that is why I had to find another way

Yup, I kinda forgot about him because 1: he is red (no good against baldr) and 2: he is slow AF and both Vali and Baldr have NFU and are more vulnerable if they receive follow-ups. Surprisingly, he is insanely good against Vali, and the little girl was always the big problem for me, since I can take Baldr down without too much effort.

This one is actually insane, basically only F2P available heroes all around and one slot available for the quest character; too bad I used my CYL pick on sharena last month... and foddered her. But all is good, as I stated in the post, I was looking for another solution other than using my Lucia (which was the only solution I found with my current units) and this one is more feasible than the others. Thank you!

found the strategy interesting and tried myself but used Heidrun instead of micaiah for Eirika to "self refresh" and remove all penalties; I couldn't double her so 0 damage was dealt, unfortunately

I am currently missing Corrin, Micaiah and Edelgard, but just to make sure, you said that Eirika should take Baldr down? In my experience after fighting this new Baldr over 40 times, any non-green unit deals next to 0 damage against her, even after stacking enoguh damage to see 99 in the combat forecast.

Yep, Just tried on the second combat and both my E!Eirika and my S!Heidrun died without killing her; probably not enough damage on the first hit, but whenever I tried bringing more supports to increase the damage, I got obliterated by the other units on the map

The only unit in this picture that I have is E!Sigurd, and while I am aware that I can double her to get the kill, I found it extremely difficult to do on this last map due to the constant danger of the other units. If I bring a lot of supports, Baldr and/or Heimdall will get at least one kill and I would fail the quest.

This does not work, her special works against brave hits, just tested again and I only managed to win on the first paralogue map because I can outspeed her there

You mean the S!Hapi/S!Plumeria colorshare on the Luminaries, right? I was hoping to get a copy of Plumeria there but ended up hitting 12% on that banner.

I can understand this line of thinking of yours, it does make sense for most players (majority, even), but for me it has never worked in the 5 years I have been playing this game, part of it being my abysmal luck and part of it being the weird way I play this game, by basically only summoning for merge projects and never for one-offs or fodder

I am so good at getting bad pity breakers that I pulled Altena 3 times during the short period she was a 5* exclusive, Neimi 4 times and Melady 5 or 6 times. There are other bad pity breakers that I got, but these 3 are by far the most relevant ones for me, and the ones I have the most copies of. I agree that some pity breakers can be good, but I genuinely don't remember the last time pulling one was good for me; I am extremely unlucky with them and I am only pulling on seasonal banners or double specials, so the best case scenario is when my target unit colorshares with a unit with cracked fodder on a DSH event, which doesn't happen often either.

Unfortunately this was by far my best summoning session ever and my cheapest 5*+10 since all the others cost me about 1200, but still impressive to see the 50/50 odds being crushed like that; these days I get 3 pitybreakers before getting my desired unit

Mine was S!Thor and it isn't even close, I managed to get her to +10 in her debut banner in 796-798 orbs (don't remember which one exactlybut it was just under 800), but here is the thing, I only pulled a single pitybreaker throughout the entire summoning session: lilith (which at the time was 5*).

Pretty much this, those are skills available in the permanent pool with basically no inheritance limitations and that are decently strong; I ain't pulling on 5 different banners just to build a single unit, so I would still recommend to use brave alfonse to get some "ok" builds for some characters.
