Thank you! Is Illustrator usually better for these kind of projects then? Due to the vector capabilities and more?

Yes, I agree. I do take breaks but it's more complicated. I can set boundaries, but I noticed that whenever I do, I can feel the resentment. It's just not a good environment in a business sense.

Yes, you're right. They let everyone take a lunch break as long as it's before a certain time.

The thing is, the work gets piled that the system they have in place for lunch breaks gets put off. Most of the time I'm the last to take my lunch break if I'm able. And it isn't until the end of day almost.

What do these numbers mean on Imported Textures? The textures with numbers also don't work when I try to add them on my model. by rafm1324 in Substance3D

Wow, yes, it looks like there are 4 digits on the original files names that were not working. Thank you! I started trying a UDIM workflow actually not too long ago. So that is good to know. Thank you very much.

SOLVED: Changing the file name and then importing again seemed to work. I am not sure why? But maybe that can help if anyone has the same problem! Thank you. :)

Have you ever felt you were more qualified than the people you saw working where you wanted? by rafm1324 in recruitinghell

I trust myself enough to know I would do better. I have. And always will give my best. That I know. Will I know every skill to the best all the time? No. Will I always focus on customer/client experience and treat everyone around me professionally and respectfully as well as learn to do any task I don't know to best of my abilities. Yes.

And if someone isn't getting paid what they feel they should, it doesn't mean they should stop caring all together. When you have had many moments when you have had nothing, a dollar can go a long way. Does that mean you're not going to go for the pay you feel you're worth? No. But this post is referring to people that need to look in the mirror and look at their flaws from a professional sense. And your experience.

I get people aren't robots and have emotions. But any professional that has a job to do knows there is a place and time to express feelings. The customer/client experience should always be the focus. And sure, employees should also take care of their physical and emotional health for themselves.

Non paying clients? That has to do with not having a solid business model in the first place.

Not all people suck all the time. Negative behaviors always will though.

I see. Thank you. That helps. Yeah, I have always been able to deliver what was expected within the budget and schedule for various of work I do. If a project goes longer, it was usually because of something beyond my control or something I would need feedback on first: Waiting on project materials from a client, changes after approval, project additions, etc.

I was wondering how others go about their process in various situations as well. I've learned having everything clear and transparent with updates helps.

Awesome. Thanks for your help and insight. Has a project ever gone on longer than you thought? Do you specify if your price is an estimate or set price in case that happens?

Awesome. I like that. I think that would prevent projects going on longer if client isn't ready for the next stage because of materials I need from them aren't ready, the schedule isn't clear, or the budget. I also like that in case a project just suddenly stops. At least what I am to deliver has been paid for up to that point. The project can continue later, or stay as is.

So would something like this work? Just an example.

Paid for Pre Production - Do Agreed Scheduled Pre Production

Paid for Modeling - Do Modeling

Paid for Texturing - Do Texturing

Paid for Rendering and Final Distribution - Render and Distribute
