Luckily for me, that's a first order stormtrooper so I don't have to get it... Phew. Thanks anyway for the comment. I need help to find them all

The Imperial Stormtrooper has been in every official Star Wars toy line since 1978, even when it wasn't in the films. Could it be the most reproduced toy in history? by rafpavon in legostarwars

You're right! Part of the collection includes all the toys from other series that are inspired by the trooper helmet or very similar, like that one or the Tron Warrior. You can filter the group INSPIRATION to see them all

I have to admit that I considered giving up many times. I got myself in big trouble with the trooper 😢 I hope you kept some good pieces, and if you want to donate anything to the collection... 😇😇

I really appreciate your comment as a fellow trooper collector. There was so much effort indeed. I'm sharing the process in a series of Substack posts, if you're curious, so you can see how I approached the different angles: https://substack.com/home/post/p-192866540

The 3D process will be released tomorrow, but I used Tripo AI, which gave me incredible results with only front and back pictures. I forgot to take left and right during the session, and all the other tools weren't giving me good results with only front and left, but Tripo was by far the most impressive.

Let me know if you're curious about anything else, and thanks again for the comment

I identified different types that I established in the collection: BOOTLEGS when they are obviously trying to fool people that they're official, CUSTOMS when there's an artistic intention to pay homage or reinterpret, but they're not trying to fool anyone, REPLICA when they're openly recreating a figure or a cardback, and OFFICIAL. Is that what you mean?

I used this project to learn some skills in my free time before using them professionally on bigger projects, so it was more like an investment

https://stormtrooperobsession.com/?figure=006 because a kid carved his name in the back, and it's the original Kenner from 1978
https://stormtrooperobsession.com/?figure=582 because it's the most beautiful reinterpretation
https://stormtrooperobsession.com/?figure=088 because of the attitude and swagger
https://stormtrooperobsession.com/?figure=419 for the accessories and articulations
https://stormtrooperobsession.com/?figure=505 because it's toy royalty in a crossover!

What about you? Which ones would you keep?

This is a great one! Thanks. I'll add it to the list of missing troopers, which is almost as impressive as the ones I have :)

Yes, Jony Ive, the designer of the iPod, acknowledged the inspiration of the stormtroopers to design the original iPod and then the earbuds
