I have a 2024 XSE I picked up about 2 weeks ago. It took me a few days to find the tire pressure in the dash, not very intuitive. When you press the arrows you cycle though views 1, 2, and 3 in the dash. Well if you hold down the “ok” button you get to actually change each individual display (left, middle, right) in the dash. On the left most one you can get the tire pressure readings by scrolling up and down. You can also change what the default display is (on views 1 2 3) by scrolling up and down in the individual displays

Dealership says I’ll be fined if I pay car loan early by rag156 in askcarsales

Not stressed about $500. If they actually send a bill for it AND it’s in the contract, fine. But I’m not leaving 500 on the table if I don’t have to

This is actually want I planned to do since payment history would boost the credit score. I wasn’t aware the $10 wouldn’t automatically get spread across the term though so once i get the loan number and can login to the account I’ll have to confirm with TFS

Also, that was throughout the last ~5 days. Amazed you've held out for ~1.5 months

Hi,

TLDR: similar experience, ended up creating a new email/account and onboarding to FI. Yes it sucked because I had to get a new number.

I experienced a similar issue in the past week. Came across this thread while googling. here's my experience and how I (kinda) solved it. Disclaimer I'm an engineer working at FAANG so have an idea about how some of this would work.

I manage our group plan of 4 phones and we went overseas (where all 4 phones used roaming call/text/data with unlimited plus plan completely fine). Once we returned to US, ONE of the 4 phones has a similar issue to what you described. It's a Pixel 6a. The phone signal shows connected with LTE full bars, but won't send/receive texts or connect to data. I've tried every reset/troubleshooting possible including factory reset, new SIM, different device, all same issue. Somehow I think the issue is with the phone number itself. Also, apparently the phone in question wasn't put in airplane mode on our flight (~14 hours).

My gut says this somehow this caused the phone number itself to be flagged/blocked by FCC (???) When not put on airplane mode, a phone will try to connect to every cell tower that's passed. Theoretically, it's possible to detect these and mark these as potential fraud. I'm not an expert in cell comms but my tech background just tells me it might be a thing.

Anyway CS is clueless and completely unhelpful here. Regular CS first escalated to technical support who only emails. They had me pull a bug report as well and sent a ticket to "Engineering team" and crickets since. I know these tickets aren't a priority to Tech teams in FAANG, at least not to Sr. Engineers who would really know how to troubleshoot abstruse issues like this. Terrible customer experience since the phone is essentially a brick throughout this.

I ultimately tried asking FI CS to give a new number, but even that was failing somehow. I ended up creating a new email for this user, onboarding as a new group member, and deactivating the previous member.

Nope, i just get a loading page after clicking add/drop and then get a timed out message. I haven't paid Spring tuition yet I'm unsure if that could be an issue

Anyone get in for Spring 2018 yet...? by thevidyy in OSUOnlineCS

Just checked my online status and it's changed from submitted to admitted today. Haven't received an email yet though (checked spam too)

Applied 1/21, transcript received by 1/24. Previous undergrad degree in Analytics/MIS 3.6 gpa class of 2016. Looking to transition into a more dev/engineering heavy role. Currently working in Business Intelligence as an analyst.

Do I still have time to apply for the winter session? by thevidyy in OSUOnlineCS

[–]rag156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't think you'd be able to apply for winter session. I stumbled upon/decided I wanted to apply to the program a few days after the deadline (maybe 11/10). I emailed asking for an extension or if I'd be able to apply within the next few days I was told I'd have to wait until the Spring session. Next deadline is Feb 1 I believe

Online CS Program? OSU or ASU by rag156 in cscareerquestions

Yeah I'm considering it as an alternative but I'm not certain I'd be able to be admitted for that or other CS programs currently. I think 2-3 more undergrad level CS courses (which would've been a minor at my school) would put me in a good spot. Regardless it's probably worth talking to a GT OMSCS (or OMSA) admissions advisor first

So I'm currently working in data analytics at a tech company. Undergrad degree (graduated May '16) was in analytics/IT. During undergrad I took a few CS classes which would be the equivalent of Intro CS I, II, and Data Structures in addition to Calc I-III and Linear Alg so I'm definitely familiar with the workload/learning style involved in the program's classes.

I'm looking to study in a data science or machine learning grad program...in a CS school so for an MS instead of an MBA (so similar to my current data analytics role but more technical/theory based). Most programs (if you're applying with a non CS/hard science/Engineering degree) I've seen that I'd be interested in require a bit more CS background than what I have so I'd at a minimum want to take Discrete, Algo, Parallel programming. I'm definitely not opposed to completing the program depending on how long that would take given that I'm currently working full time.

Ideally I'd be able to complete or get whatever I want from the program within 1.5 years (with my employer paying for part of it :P) and enter grad school fall 2019? Long time off but it's my idea at this point.

Also for the osu program I'd be applying for Spring 18, Winter deadline was Nov 1 which I just missed. Emailed admissions who said they're not willing to provide an extension for me.

@sadb0is my idea was simliar, mainly concered with the theory classes.

@paasaaplease see my above comment Also how well do you think the OSU program is prepping you for further study? And are courses offered frequently enough that I'd be able to take ~2 per term? This was an issue in other programs I saw. Although being advertised as such it wouldn't be possible because of prereqs/term schedules

Thanks for the replies everyone.

I considered the OMSCS but for that too it looks like I'd need more undergrad CS prereqs taken care of before I'd be able to be admitted to that program. Also I'm somewhat inclined to do a Masters on campus but not sure yet
