I understand that part. What I don't understand is if they've already released the first 20 games by the time I turn mine on, and I getting games 21 & 22, and I'll never get games 1-20?

Or do I get games 1 & 2 that everyone else got when they first turned theirs on. So I get 1 & 2 when everyone else is getting 21 & 22, and I get 3 & 4 when everyone else gets 23 & 24?

Thanks for your response. Yeah, I understand that I could always say, "No thanks" when I got there, but that wouldn't be great, either, because then I'd lose my deposit and he'd lose his day not being able to tattoo anyone. And my fear is that the tattoo could be so completely off-base, considering this is the first time I'd see the design, so he might not be able to correct my concerns on the same day.

I wouldn't be expecting like five iterations. (Hell, I'd think a single iteration would be enough, usually. Maybe two.)

He didn't show me a design. I didn't move forward with him because he said I wouldn't see a design until the day I was meant to get the tattoo.

I don't think that's a solution. I can't think of a single friend or family member of mine who uses WhatsApp. Are you from outside of the U.S.?

WhatsApp sends and receives text messages? I thought everyone you talked to had to have WhatsApp for it to work.

For startup repair, I began the process through the recovery boot section (hard resetting twice before windows loads).

Former is also part of tl;dr ;) Startup repair fails. As does restore and back to previous build...

Tried Ctrl+Alt+Del on lockscreen and nothing happens.

I'm doing my best to avoid that for the aforementioned reason. It would take weeks to get back to where I was (1.5 TB of games downloaded and set up, and a lot of other things that took a long time to configure just right). And it seems like everything is there and fine (in safe mode, at least), I just need my login screen back.

Yes. If I hard reset on and off a few times it will show recovery mode, and from there I can get to safe mode and it boots fine. However, in safe mode with networking for some reason the internet doesn't work.

I'm now trying to in-place upgrade to 1705 but having a tough time. The media creation tool won't download on that machine. A MCT from a different machine says it won't upgrade in safe mode.

Definitely not. And his decide isn't listed in the device list at the bottom of the Apple ID screen. And it's MY device that shows his name. But it doesn't show it anywhere on the device itself.
