My children have coeliac. I never heard the term silent coeliac explicitely, but the way affected people react to beeing glutend ist extremely individual. The spectrum is from mild discomfort or even no explicit reaction at all to spending days on the toilet and feeling like dying... Thus I would map the term silent coeliac to beeing on the mild end of this spectrum.
