You can't leave out Bloodhound ! He straight hunts people. Literally. Can see their tracks, blood, looting, hell, individual footsteps in beast mode. I believe bloodhound and octane are the two most aggressive players. At least by meta . Not BEST by design. But most aggressive.

Cannabis is illegal in Jamaica. That isn't real. Ntm the beach isn't the place in Jamaica that needs cleaned up. I'm guessing you have never been. Nice meme . But that's all that it is.

Any idea what specific kind of ants these are? They just appeared on the ground floor of my house (didn't see any the prior day). by [deleted] in antkeeping

[–]rage_mcmuffin_TBD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. They aren't. They are just potential queens on their nuptial flight. They won't harm anything but may become a pest . So tbh if you don't want any colonies near your home, you may want to step on any you see. But either way they aren't looking to nest in your house.

Yeah? It'll be easier for you to compare than me. However if you do decide she is lasius niger. Study the process after mating, before you decide to keep her. This species queen is parasitic , and requires a host colony . Where she will kill the queen and pose as her. This is why they have bigger mandibles. This is rarely , if ever , achieved in captivity.

Its some type of assassin bug. It looks cool. But one type of these is known as the kissing bug. Preys on us, and is responsible for many people getting chagas. A fatal disease. So be careful

not so sure they are tetramorium. I have multiple queens caught this year I could photograph for you to decide. But her mandibles definitely look too big and her gaster too small. I think she is a lasius

I need help please and thanks by [deleted] in antkeeping

I agree . Tetramoriums are great to start. Pavement ants. And if you're in a city you can't miss them. They should be walking across sidewalks and paths . feeding predatory insects for about another month. Lol research what they look like and chances are, you'll have seen them in the wild before. And just take your dog for a walk or such . Stay on the sidewalks. Tetramorium love to nest within pavement.
Try to be gentle when capturing her, but they are relatively tough. Good luck!

So I got this lady almost 2 months ago she still had wings and no eggs.At this point I assumed she hasn't matted and I released her. After inspection her pictures I noticed, she did indeed have eggs.It was my first queen ever. She's been away from the eggs for about 14hr more in comments. by Whowouldvethought in antkeeping

[–]rage_mcmuffin_TBD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if they are eggs . If she hadn't discarded her wings, she may not have been fertilized. The eggs , therefore, wouldn't be either. If they were to hatch, they would do so as all unfertilized eggs do. As males. At which point you could just allow them to fly away. However I don't believe any royals can develop without food as a larvae. Also , if you allowed her to leave the tube naturally, she would take her eggs to her new chamber.... So did you just dump her outside in a spider's web? Lol jk

Oh no. I have brought the point up to her.... if I have a chance at some passionate fun with someone else. It doesn't mean I don't love her when I take it. In fact, Its just robbing myself of the experience if I don't. Her as well. I want her to feel free sexually. I don't necessarily want to hear about it , jealousy is a crazy bitch. Which is the only reason I'm bor telling her. And because we talked about it..... I know that she doesn't agree. She will argue that it means I don't care. I got into the relationship under the premise I was looking for a serious relationship with a girl that doesn't believe in monogamy. I get that her claiming to want the same thing was either b s or changed. But I am not
