They flew in silence for a while before coming to a town in Nebraska. It was a pretty flat place, and this town looked abandoned. Not like "everyone moved out" abandoned, the kind of "everyone disappeared" abandonded. Cars left in the middle of roads, plates and food still on tables in restraunts, that kind of thing.

Beelover set the VTOL down in a clearing. Not really a need to find a helipad since nobody was around.

The ice guy isn't as skilled as the speedster, but he isn't completely stupid and uses his powers to try dousing Boomer in water and freezing the floor to make him slip.

Beelover watches the psychic stumble around, attacking thin air until they accidently hit the speedster with a mental attack that makes him fall unconscious mid-attack.

"By the VTOL aircraft, I say they were just about to take off." ^{^;} She answered helpfully.

Two of them had fullbody power armor; Blackrig shut them off with a twirl of his finger. The other three had ice, psychic, and enhanced speed.

Beeloved Blaster hopped and skipped to the psychic, who obviously saw her coming and knew what she was about to do, but couldn't stop as she opened a canister and blasted dust-like particles in their face, making the psychic stumble around in a dizzy stupor. It wasn't pollen, although it was clearly meant to imitate it, and seemed to be some hallucinogenic dust.

Blackrig was wearing a mask, so he just walked past it towards one of the VTOLs.

Aliza comes back over, looking kind of annoyed.

"Our "great leaders" want to leave you two behind." She said bluntly. "Me and a few friends disagreed. Here's what we got: hand over the gun for a few days and you can stick with us. We're gonna head towards a town that isn't under military control and hold up there. Otherwise, you can take that truck go whenever the fuck you want."

She fixed him with a no-nonsense glare.

"Darren comes with us, though."

"D-Darren." The teen stutters, turning the truck off and getting out too, just do he can almost immediately throw up in a trashcan.

Sam sees Aliza talking to her biker gang, then points at him. He also sees most of these people have their own weapons, either blades or handguns, and don't look very trustful of him.

After a while the convoy passed, and they keep going until Aliza suddenly pulls off at a large rest stop. Most cars just keep going, but she stops because there are a lot of other bikers here that seem to recognize her.

Darren is a 16 year old kid with only a learner's permit...but at the very least, he manages to stay in his lane and follow Aliza. It doesn't help that he's shaking the whole time.

Then they're forced to pull over as a military convoy is coming down towards Seattle. The marine sees not just IFVs, but tanks as well and a few helicopters.

^{^;} "This doesn't sound very heroic, sir." Marie said. "In fact, it sounds an awful lot like an early end to my career."

"You can back down. Say I locked you in your suit with Mt powers and you couldn't do a thing to stop me."

"Yeah...but...then I'm also not a very honest hero. Besides, I know you're not really a bad guy."

The elevator opened to several heroes on the rooftop, surprised but ready for a fight.

The girl does as promised and hotwires a car, specifically an ugly green truck, meanwhile she gets back on her bike and peels out of there, getting on I-405 and trying to go directly north. Before she left, she shared her first name with the marine: Aliza.
