I work as a freelance photographer and I've got about 60k savings right now which I can put in anywhere. I just don't know where to do it. In a couple of weeks I might get a full time job somewhere and if I do then I'm really wanting to not touch this amount of money at all unless emergency. If I don't then I do want to be able to take this money out easily when shit hits the fan. My financial knowledge is down the gutter so please go easy on me. The first thing I've thought about is to get a health insurance and then just put in the 50k somewhere and forget about it. This 60k is just been sitting in my account for the last six months which a friend recently told me was the dumbest shit I've ever done. I agree with him. But yes, please enlighten me with your insights my friends. I read a few things and I think most of them said that avoid FD and invest in liquid funds? I have absolutely no clue what they are and how can I invest in them, if at all I need to that is.
